Eh... it's all relative. Maybe when you first get in there is one acceptable level of warmth but once your body has gotten used to the temperature you can slide it up or down little by little and your body will get used to the new temperature. It's like how a pool can be pretty cold at first but ten minutes of swimming in it and you won't even notice anymore.

I've been taking hot / cold showers recently and unfortunately when my power shower hot water pump detects that it isn't needed any more it shuts off. So I change the temp slowly going from hot, to colder, to cold... then the hot water shuts off... to OMFG ICY.

Stupid shower.
