More Maradone and Persie

jtlqZTwFgeJ2l.jpg

Nice photo :] He is Persie's all time favorite I believe, he would mention him all the time when he was asked about who he looks up to the most. Classy player with an excellent final touch :)

Ah, thought for a moment that ths was as well as Samba. Would have been serious.

Samba stories are a bit mixed at the moment, hard for us to know which leads are reliable. Apparently Tottenham's name has popped up very much when it came to his this window.

Luca Toni and Frederik Sorensen looking to be heading to Bologna.

Sad for Luca. Really thought he would have done well in the 4-2-4 that was supposed to be Conte's preferred formation, but he is way too slow for a 4-3-3. He'll get plenty of play at Bologna, but I really think he's above them. I still think he'd be good to keep for Coppa games, but on the other hand, those are really the times you need to play youth.

Speaking of youth, apparently we're going into a co-ownership with Bologna for Sorensen, which I am NOT a fan of. We should not give them any opportunities to hold us to the fire like Parma are trying to do with Giovinco now that Conte wants to bring him back--in that situation, if the 10m valuation for Giovinco plays out, we'll be owing THEM money for the loan, which is silly. Either that or we end up in a situation where we have to send them a player free, which if it's Amauri that's fine, but it won't be Amauri :(

Not a big fan of co-ownership either, but at least we know we can out muscle them in a blind auction.

Sorensen deserves to play more! It's gonna be hard for him to play if we end up buying Cáceres, so loaning him out is a good idea.

It's hard to justify keeping Luca with his 3m+ salary :P Unless he agrees to reduce it? He's in the twilight of his career and a player like him should be playing somewhere!

Morrison is going nowhere. Pogba, maybe, but I don't see Ravel leaving anytime soon.

He is that good Yurt, a real talent...but it takes more than talent to make it.

Tweeps be saying David Silva has broken his foot.

Vincent Kompany has written a short story about his red card.

Dear all,

I appealed because I obviously completely disagreed with the interpretation of the officials on the day but that happens in football and we move on. I wonder though if we are now going to see an unprecedented wave of red cards on match days because we sanction "if's" and "maybe's"? Are we going to look back at video evidence for every single challenge that goes unnoticed by the officials, look at different scenarios and potential outcomes of what could have been considered a good tackle and then sanction it? Players and managers are starting to expect more sending offs from referees and I think it's for the wrong reasons. My understanding is that English football prides itself on the hardness, the fairness and the tradition of its game. That is why hundreds of millions of people tune in to watch Premier League football and English referees have always been a key factor to that success in my opinion. So I don't agree with people saying that referees in this country aren't doing well as I think they are the best in the world. Hopefully common sense will prevail again in the future and I for one hope not to see consistency in sending offs and suspensions when the intent of a player is to win the ball.

I'd like to add to this that I waited for the suspension to be confirmed before making any comments on the matter as I didn't want to give the impression that I was using the media as a tool to benefit my own personal agenda in this case. I'm not speaking on behalf of the club or anybody else, this isn't me defending myself, this is just me raising a genuine concern.

If football fans decide I'm wrong in raising these concerns then I will have no problem in accepting the fact that times are changing again for our game.

Vincent Kompany.

Lol, Kompany. Of course your intent was to win the ball, no one is questioning that. But it was a two-footed tackle, red card.

He is that good Yurt, a real talent...but it takes more than talent to make it.

Yeah, precisely :/

He can tackle as hard as he likes, as long as he's in front of the player, gets the ball AND USES ONE DAMN FOOT!! If you are penalised for a tackle that follows these rules then you can get your whiny bitch face on and its justified

Anything else gives the ref a decision to make, Jesus Christ it's not hard.

But it's not about out muscling them in a blind auction. Why should we have to pay twice for our own player? Loan him cheaply or pay his salary and lets avoid paying double down the line.

I think Luca should go back to Fiorentina, personally, but I'm not going to jinx the Amauri sale.

Plans for Manchester United supporters' club and hotel at Old Trafford funded by Gary Neville

Manchester United could soon have a new neighbour – a supporters’ club and hotel decked out in team colours.

Plans have been submitted to Trafford council for a 10-storey building including a 139-bed hotel at the junction of Sir Matt Busby Way and Wharfside Way.

The development is a joint venture between former United star Gary Neville and the Old Trafford Supporters Club with the former player financing the project with money raised from his testimonial in May.

If only football refs could command this much respect

It's something that needs address I feel, from the bottom of the game to the top, players need to actually listen to refs more or face being penalised properly, ie backchat more than once is an automatic yellow or something.

Nigel Owens is so boss. I remember him telling off both teams at the same time after an incident.

And I agree that swarming around the referee and the backchat needs to stop. Thats something that football could learn from rugby.

Mixed news on Silva. This broken foot thing appears to have come from nowhere. Ian Ladyman (what a name) is saying it's a niggle and he'll be fit for Wigan.

Yeah, I don't get it. And Sorensen is a good player, so I'm pretty sure we'll end up buying him back anyway.

Inter did it with Adriano and ended up paying 13+ million to Parma :/

Hey I like Sammy Ameobi. Kid needs some loan time though. However, with him injured for a long time, rumours are back that Pardew WILL get a striker no matter what. The name linked apart from Carroll is Erdinc. :lol

Liverpool v united cup tie will be played on 28th, 12:45 kick off. Only 3 days after the second leg of te City Semi second leg. Should be tough for us.

That works, but I think it begins with an s. It's not subsidiary, or substrate, or secretion, or substituent, or by-product. That's a brief insight into what I'm revising anyway.

Anyway...

Clattenburg joins Webb & Atkinson amongst Fifa's Elite refs. England only one of three countries to have 3 Fifa Elite refs. #justsaying

Elite refs, fucking lol
