I mean, I feel bad now, since I picked it for selfish reasons; I do think it is a bad show, but not in an enjoyable way, and I needed an ally in that opinion. ;-;
Did you learn nothing from the mountain?

Not going to watch Last Exile Fam? If you like the original Last Exile, you really should consider it a must-watch. If you didn't like the original series of course it's quite unlikely you'd like this one either, but I loved the first series and think Fam is definitely good as well; it's one of the best currently airing animes in my opinion.I'm going to go with the consensus.
I watched the dub in my youth and at the very least Uranus & Neptune will get an upgrade from "cousins," amirite? :3
That's... far "cheaper" than what I was expecting.Yeah! There are also some reviews available, like this little one by muhootsaver:
Can you Moe? :: [BD] Dennou Coil BD-BOX (電脳コイル

To see now that amazon.co.jp is selling it so much cheaper (http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-la...language=en_JP) than the original pre-order price from Bandai Visual's .ANIME store (http://www.dot-anime.com/feature/4423.html#BCXA-0377) only a little more than a month past could be a little disheartening for early purchasers, though, but expected nonetheless.
I'm going to go with the consensus.
My plan is to finish these first:
Fractale (1ep)
Well yeah, but we were all crying inside.
What the hell are you doing?
It's true. People (in general) don't really need to experience that show. It's not terribly bad, or interesting, or good. It definitely falls under the 'wasting your time' category.Friends don't let friends watch Fractale. Staring into space for 22 minutes would be a more enjoyable overall experience.
Is Gosick really bad enough to be lumped with Fractale?
Good idea. It's my favorite episode for it contains the crucial revelation thatthe shadow play girls are corporeal.

801 T.T.S. Airbats - 7
a true bittersweet mono no aware episode.
Even I'm maybe the only one who like this anime, Airbats will ever have a special place in my anime heart
It's more likely that you're the only one whose watched it!

also add the yozakura quartet ova's and you've got a good list (except for fractale)

Clearly you don't count.I've seen it.
I'm now a monocle or hipster?
Well, no, because I don't think highly of it.Clearly you don't count.
hoshi no samidare, yotsuba and the greatest farming manga of our times vinland sagaHey guys I got my computer back! Woo it's somewhat fixed. Anyway I didn't know whether to post this or in the manga thread, but seeing as I never go to the manga thread I just decided to post it here.
What manga do you guys want animated next? And by what studio? You can't pick anything that has an anime adaptation that got canceled or finished while the manga is still going. An example of that is Hitman Reborn or D. Gray-man.

Genki girls are best girls.
(Note, kuudere > genki).

DFC > all.
I agree, but this got me thinking. Perhaps the reason anime is "dead" or "beyond saving" in the eyes of most on AnimeGAF is because we now have simple, easy to use terminology to define specific sets of tropes, allowing them to be more easily exploited.
Allow me to expand. I feel safe in assuming everyone here knows what a "tsundere" is. Now, tsunderes as they're defined today aren't new to anime; they're been around for quite some time. The difference is they weren't anywhere near as prominent or frequent as they are in modern anime. I believe this is because the term "tsundere" wasn't actually coined until the early 2000s on forums like 2ch (thanks Lucky Channel!), which went on to describe a very specific set of tropes found in a couple of anime/games. But once the term spread and became part of otaku parlance, it became easily exploitable by anime/game/light novel creators. Then other "dere" types entered the fray (the above kuudere, yandere, dandere etc.), creating more easily exploitable tropes to.. er, exploit, none of which being more exploitable then the ever popular term "moe". Basically, anime will never go back to the way it was because these terms now exist and can't be deleted.
I mean, I know it's not the ONLY reason, the economy sucks and ideas are running dry to some extent, but does the above make sense, or am I just being an idiot?
did they finally kill off gai yet?

Lulz, and people still say its not at Geass levels of wtfisthisshhit craziness. That man has amazing plot armourA satelite beam from space annihialates a wide area of where Gai and some random people from his group go on a mission to, and only Gai survives.
Bonez.A Teppu anime would be nice but I don't know which studio could handle the fight parts.

lmaoIIRC there is a pic showing he might join the Harem (in the mc's arms Tiger and Bunny style)
yeah, that's one of the reasons why i dropped itThat man has amazing plot armourA satelite beam from space annihialates a wide area of where Gai and some random people from his group go on a mission to, and only Gai survives.
bunny drop was undoubtedly the better show but there was just something about a japanese kid meandering about in a 19th century parisIt wasn't the cutest show of its season.
shit, i forgot about fap note.Don't let the shounens scare you away.
As for manga adaptations, Saturn Apartments or Takemitsu Zamurai. Onani Master Kurosawa.

Now that i've had my asparagus and salmon virginity taken all the way to the end of things, I will revel in watching the pure.Utena 34
I think some of the plot points went a bit over my head since I was pretty tired when watching it...
Were we told two conflicting tales about the witch and the prince? One during the shadow puppet play and the other during the flashback?
If that's not the case then could someone summarize the actual tale, please! Way too tired to watch it again at the moment and I've got a lot of work to do this week =(
You have a point because i have always loved these things in anime, but it wasnt given a name until recently.
alright animugaf, arjuna or school days?
Haha, I think IRC has infected me.Some people wondering into this thread might get the wrong impression about you with posts like that!

The tropes have been there throughout time and have constantly been exploited. It's just nerds love to label things.I agree, but this got me thinking.
