Well okay, so it's not Mexican in the traditional sense. And he was technically born an American citizen.
It's just amazing to me, that his father is born in Chihuahua, his grand-father started a Missionary there, and he still has no clue about immigration.
Wait no, Great-Grandfather. His grandfather was born in Chihuahua as well.
Genetically speaking he's English, Scottish and German... I don't think you guys should have such blown minds right now. He was born in Michigan to a father who was Governor of Michigan and happened to be born on a Mormon mission in Mexico. Not alllll that mindblowing...

The family on my father's side is almost 100% Colombian, and I'm pretty damn white myself.
There are three generations of his family that lived in Mexico. Two generations that were born there. He's the first Romney in 100 years born in America. (In his branch of the Romney tree anyway)
That makes you actually (almost) half-Colombian!
This is fascinating history to be sure (I now know waaaay too much about the lineage of Mitt Romney for my comfort level) but of course the key here is that the Pratts were white, native-born Americans who then went to Mexico as missionaries. I don't think there's any stretch of the imagination that could make Mitt half-Mexican and I surely don't think he's going to be able to court the hispanic vote by citing his Mormon ancestors.
So for once I woke up earlyish today (11:30am) and caught a nice breakfast with my mom... to be honest it was a bit too sour XD Thank god I had some "chai" tea hahahah
Please describe what's going on on those plates. Is that yoghurt, olives and naan with some type of fruit spread?

Haha to be honest this isn't really traditional Yemeni breakfast (more pan-arab really). Usually in Yemen they eat some kind of bean stew (which my mom makes a lot) with bread.

My GF wanted to dump me because she has so much shit in her life and is feeling smothered by it and now by me. I love her so I settled on just giving her space.

Did I ever tell you you look EXACTLY like a friend of mines father? Seriously, it's quite uncanny. Zait & Zatar is so good when i'm in the mood for it, so is that strong feta cheese with some nice bread. I've gotten used to these traditional family foods but I still step back sometimes and say 'mmm this is good shit'.
not that kind of space. Without getting too much into detail, we were spending way too much time in our own bubble. We both have kids (I 1 and she 3) and we were neglecting that. Then again you could very well be right. Of course I hope not, but hey, I'm even thinking the same thing at this point and am taking it one day at a time now.
