Seriously. I hate him.

hard to believe Muniain is 19 years old, feels like he's been around for ages. What a player.

What is Mancini actually saying there, anybody know?

Got to say Gerrard doing the right thing, standing by his club and his team-mates, that's the kinda stuff which really builds team-morale even though it's a pretty minor incident.

Mancini has been saying some silly things over the last couple of weeks, needs to go back to being chilled.

Bundes-GAF:
What's the better source for football news: Kicker or Bild?

I need to refresh my German and I figured I'd do it with something slightly interesting.

Moussa Sow going to Fenerbache apparently. Any of Turkey-Gaf know if that's true?

Could have been a good signing for a few English clubs.

Would be consistant with their apparent current policy of going after African players. Issiar Dia, Henry Bienvenue and Mamadou Niang were their last foreign imports.

MOUSSA SOW...DO NOT GO...TO TURKEY-OH

I'd like him to come to Newcastle. Quick Pardew, get Cabaye to have a word. Better yet, get Demba Ba to have a word as they're both on the Senegal team.

Bild is pretty much just shit and reading their articles, your German could only get worse :D

Kicker is pretty good but I don't really like their website. Some stuff is rather hard to find and they mainly focus on facts. Personally, I like sport1.de because of the news bar on the side. Makes it quick and easy to look for something interesting.

What's the word on this Jordan Rhodes fella? He's all the rage right now on the Pro Evo option file boards. Everyone is asking for him to be included in the next update. I've seen the scorelines that he's been putting up, but just how good is he?

Finally watched the Arsenal/Leeds game (waaaaaaay late, I know). Got chills when Henry was subbed on with Walcott. Really nice moment. Oh, goal was pretty sweet, too.

He's a very good player. I watched him score four against us when we drew 4-4 against Huddersfield a few weeks ago.

Has that extra yard or two of quality and is too good for League One and, in my opinion, probably The Championship as well. He's being scouted by pretty much half the Premiership at the moment but will probably cost north of £5m to sign him. These things can go either way when young players jump up two divisions, but I can't see any reason why he wouldn't score goals at Premiership level.

Thanks.

I remember watching Sport1 every day when I lived in Austria. Don't know why I didn't think of them as news providers.

A spokesperson for the Catholic college said: "Xaverian was delighted to receive a surprise visit from Mario, who chatted to some of the students at one of Manchester's most successful colleges.

"We weren't able to enrol him on any courses but he is welcome back anytime."

lol mario is such a boss, i hope he keeps this playful yet cool attitude and i'm glad people in england like him. he had such a rough time in italy. racist bastards.

Two Clasicos coming up: Barcelona and Real Madrid will face off in the quarter finals of Copa Del Rey. Not that there was any doubt about it before today's game though :)

he was bad last year but he got really solid this season and showed a glimpse of his talent. there is a reason why löw and heynckes see him as one of the best german centre backs.
he looks kinda dumb though

Low reason: he plays at Bayern.
Jupp reason: he is Bayern youth academy 'product' (and german).

I'm pretty sure if Hummels was still at Bayern, Badstuber would be in Bayern II or a low budget Bundesliga team in best case scenario.

Newcastle apparently doubled their bid for Ravel Morrison to £1m.

Hmm.

Someone really really needs to sell me on this guy. The hype and all this crap about "oh he's the best thing out of Manchester since Burt Kwouk is uh...cool?

I tried to watch a couple of things on Youtube but nothing stood out.

Is he at least better than Obertan and can he play on the wing? :lol

I don't think heynckes would deliberately threaten the success of bayern just because he's from bayern's youth. as in fact, he was just chosen as the best centre back in the bundesliga by kicker.de (a very godd german football site)

if heynckes really felt like they need a better cb he would just buy one. it's bayern munich we are talking about. even van gaal thought he's a good defender.

But van Gaal also thought he could play a Badstuber Breno pairing last season :D

Let's get serious for a moment, though. Badstuber is okay but he's nowhere near being the guy Bayern wants him to be. He's not the leader type of player and would benefit a lot of having a good and experienced CB on his side. And for the last two season he more or less has had to play this role (with Breno + Boateng on his side).

And I really don't get how Badstuber has a sure place in the national team.

For me, Hummels > Howedes > Boateng > Badstuber.
Howedes was fucking awesome last season for Schalke, he's a true leader.

I definitely agree with you. he needs a experienced defender on his side who's not as slow as daniel 'the tree' van buyten(the cl final in 2009 was just emberassing, that's not how you defend)

obviously. that's why the rumors of us buying howedes make me excited.

He can play on the wing but his future lies in a more central position imo. He definitely has talent but thats offset by his appallng attitute.

There are reports of him continuously showing up late for training and sometimes not even showing up at all. Then there's the problems that he's had with the law too.

Oliver Kay was on an Irish radio station this evening and said that Ferdinand, Scholes and Mc Clair have worked with Morrison to try and help him but he hasn't listened to any of them.

Morrison needs to get out of Manchester if he wants to have any sort of worthwhile professional career imo. His friends are dragging him down.

Mourinho to play with 3 DMs against Barcelona. Calling it now.

Probably the best strategy to combat Barca along with insane, high-pressure up the pitch. Soak it up like Inter and release a deadly 1-2-3-goal counter attack. The only problem is that it won't work if Puyol is on the pitch. Guy has insane levels of tactical awareness, even if he is quite slow.

Most likely, it will be the usual 2 DMs with an extra guy just to man mark Messi. Most likely this will be Pepe, and it's highly likely he'll get a red card this time too! When Pepe was marking Messi last year, that's when I thought Messi was really taken out of the game -- which is the key to winning against Barcelona imo.

If Mou tries attacking all out football, that could work too (worked for lower La Liga teams this season), but it could also end up in another 5-0. Will be a very interesting Clasico this time. I'm expecting him to use the lessons learned from all of the previous ones to the test.

He's the sort of person that'll attract a bad crowd wherever he goes imo. Wouldn't be surprised too if some of his current friends tagged along.

It would be a massive waste if he were to leave United. He has a lot of potential but he's completely unprofessional. I'd agree with United if he does end up being sold.

Any club he plays for will have a hard time dealing with him. But if he does settle down then they could have a very good player in their hands.

Di Stefano: Ron must accept criticism

"The whistles against Cristiano Ronaldo? The people in the crowd are the ones who pay, and they are always right," Di Stefano told Agencia Atlas.

"If the spectators demand from the players that they do their utmost and score goals, the players shouldn't question this. The fans are always right. If they whistle or jeer someone, it's because they want him to be effective."
