I thought he was just out of Real's youth academy. Turns out he's almost 25.

And Madrid has 22 wins in their last 23 games. Holy shit.

Yep. It's the only other forum I go to besides this one. I don't post on there much nowadays, it feels difficult to be negative or overly-critical on that place.

I half expect to find a sub-forum for Dalglish fanfics.

Might stay up to see what happens between Newcastle and QPR. 1 point from a possible 24 is a stat you don't want to get worse.

Norway - Denmark on right now (national league teams).

I occasionally browse the forum, but for discussions and transfer talk I prefer lfcreds. I'm not saying it's jerk free - far from it. I've just found that there's generally more substance in the posts.

You'd think that after having the same problem for the majority of the season some lessons would be learnt, but it's not really happening is it? Kenny got it wrong yesterday, he's not infallible. On paper 3 centre backs against Stoke makes sense, they like playing narrow so you use your wingbacks to stretch the game but within 10 minutes it was pretty evident that Stoke weren't going to try and play football and only came for the draw (which is fair enough) yet it didn't prompt a tactical change from Kenny, not quick enough anyway and that's been one of our main problems this season in my opinion.

We're a work in progress sure, and on the whole we've played some lovely football at times but we just lack the cutting edge in front of goal - Something which we spent £55m on.

For a club that tries to pride itself on Justice and Socialism, RAWK is a terrible flagship Liverpool forum.

It is really and truly intolerable. And the interest hasn't even been in the justice campaign lately. Anything regarding the 96 goes largely untouched. A thread slating Andy Carroll? 15 pages in a day.

Spotted at Newcastle United training ground.

We are doing loop-the-loops through the fucking looking glass now.

Transfer windows were already a massive piss-take when I was only reading the odd paper and listening to the radio.

Watched the United Bolton game again. It will be a stupendous boost if Valencia can carry that form.

And if Capello benches Carrick again, he is a total numpty.

Parker, Gerrard, Barry, Lampard will still be ahead of him, and rightly so.
And Wilshere when he's fit.

but he plays for us dawg?

Be honest, it's the easiest thing in the world to forget that he does.

Read spoiler text if the confusing Ravel bullshit still holds an atom of intrigue for you.

RavelMorrison49 Ravel Ryan Morrison @Bodjo89 hahahahahahhaha got it wrong mate not asked for anything of united yet

LOL

If he comes to Newcastle that would be the biggest WTF transfer in years.

This whole 'Liverpool's squad is not good enough' shtick reminds me of Spurs a few seasons back. They were a massively underachieving squad (who could forget losing 4th at the death?) and got a lot of stick from all over the place.

Bale was shite, Boateng was shite, Assou-Ekotto was shite, etc, etc. Bale is now worth (apparently) Ronaldo bucks and Assou-Ekotto is one of the best left backs in the league.
The two Tottenham players have most probably benefited from being at the club for 4-6 years (notwithstanding other influences - 'arry, etc) and being able to grow as players without any real pressure. The other one just won Serie A with Milan after barely playing for Tottenham. Hell, look at the amount of stick Lucas got in his first few seasons in English football. He was never going to be good enough for the British game according to some. 'Ship him off to Spain or something'. Or even Glen Johnson's fall from grace.

I'm not glancing over the issues that the team has - nobody is free from censure at Liverpool currently - but I imagine its difficult to get into the groove when scoring or playing well still gets you a 5/10 from John, Toxteth. Lucas bored his way through into the hearts and minds of the Liverpool faithful, but that's not to say Carroll or Henderson will - with or without the support of the fans. Different players handle abuse and reprehension in different ways.

Bah, Liverpool fans always go through this cycle of not expecting much, doing better than expected, expecting too much and then calling for blood when those already heady expectations aren't met.

At the end of the day you can't do anything but sit and watch (unless you're Jeff).

Finally some proper matches again today. Okay, it's just two rather meaningless matches with just 45 minutes but finally some BVB again :)

Hope we play against Gladbach today, I wanna see Reus play against us :D

"Infostrada Sports on Twitter: "After Demba Ba who is unavailable, Newcastle's top scorers are Leon Best and Own Goal, both with three."

that wouldn't be a smart move by him. he's way too good for newcastle.

It's one of those things where for the sake of discussion, you tolerate a certain amount of people (who are certain they know best) giving their opinion, but when the amount of negativity is overwhelming, it's not wrong to step in.

For example, Arsenal fans were adamant that Wenger had lost it, 4th place was out of sight and that this year's signings would fail. Anyone with sense knows that Wenger is one of the world's best football managers and that despite the missteps, Arsenal would be back in the running soon enough. And they are.

Liverpool will be, too. A few good signings will help - but do we need to rebuild the whole team again already after having done just that last year? No. We need someone better than Kuyt, and maybe someone better than Carroll as well.
I'd be inclined to agree with you on this. Liverpool's game isn't the best at the minute but nor is it the worst. As far as I can see you only need to tighten up in a few areas to really start firing.

I see it on the Chelsea forum I post on. So much negativity. People want to know why we aren't the best team in the league. we bring in AVB for a rebuild, and because we aren't handed instant success, something a lot of our fans feel is owed to them, everybody's up in arms and wants answers. There is clearly issues at Chelsea but some people on the forum would have you believe we are in crises even though if next weeks results go our way, we could close the gap at the top to 6 points! These drastic changes generally take a few seasons to bed in. I don't seriously expect anything from Chelsea for a few years yet. I don't think Liverpool fans should expect much more. You have good owners now who are prepared to invest and push you in the right direction. What more could you want?

It really is an impatiences with fans, which in a way I understand. But as Arsenal as an example. I remember a few games in to the season hearing life long Arsenal fans (friends of mine) saying Wenger had to go. Now they've strengthened ever so slightly and the mood has changed.

Too many fans expect too much.

Kyle - really is the same story. I can only imagine how the mentality must be among Chelsea fans, a fair amount of who must certainly be young'uns who jumped on the bandwagon when the success started.

QPR bringing it to Newcastle right now. 0-0 would be a good compromise for me - keeps my fantasy team in good shape and keeps my team above Newcastle in the tables. :)

Let's do this fuckers! I want a convincing win please -_-

got this ready for tonight's match :P

Edit: Palermo is playing Benussi in net. Is Viviano STILL injured?

(contractual obligation prevents me from laughing at Milan)
a milanista is in the house

Yakubu and Kompany sent off for dangerous play yet Derry just actually did injure Cabaye and got nowhere near the ball and no red, how is that less dangerous?

These rules are shit, Fergie was spot on on MOTD
