Resident Evil 6: Bro-Splosion Announced, Nov 20 PS3/360, PC Later, PR/Trailer In OP

Right now we have Darksiders 2 and Killer Freaks. But yeah, it's obvious Nintendo is holding everyone back from announcing things.
There's more than that isn't there? Someone posted the list the other day, there's Metro, Aliens and Batman, more I can't remember.

EDIT: Ninja Gaiden 3 too.

Really interested in the plot direction. Wesker is presumably dead (lol) and Umbrella doesn't exist-- unless they've been hiding or some hilarious shit like that making us all think that it was the stocks that killed them.

As I understand from the DLC, Wesker has brothers out there, they are evil and probably have the same kind of idiotic plans also Spencer was hinted as being still alive.

Most anticipated game of 2013.

I'm glad you realized and accepted the PC version will be delayed.

While I love 4 more considerably, I still never got the hate for 5. Thought it was great in it's own way, but am still hoping that this will be darker like 4. The atmosphere in that game is amazing and it never gets old.

RE5 was pretty amazing regardless of what I think about the story or emphasis on action. It was just a great game period.

Oh.... Jesus.

seriously, everyone, play the Revelations demo. even if RE6 isn't what you want Revelations looks to be along the lines that lots of you are wanting 6 to be. and it comes out in a couple of weeks. the demo is ace.

There were a bunch of games shown in the E3 reel, but most haven't really gotten formal announcements (Aliens, for instance, is officially only being "considered"). And other than Dragon Quest X, there's been nothing announced since E3. There's definitely a gag order for now.

Like I said in the other thread:

"We've been waiting for you Chris"

I agree but the article said that they're trying to find a happy medium between action and horror so hopefully at the very least it will be closer to horror than RE6 was.

(Assuming A WiiU port is being planned..)

probably said already, but isn't that date the day WiiU most likely will be released?

I wonder if such an exact date has anything to do with that. If I were Capcom, I certainly would like to have a big core title on any hardware launch.

I hope RE5 will get retconned. Capcom should've kept Wesker to be the G-Man of RE. Wesker being the guy you didn't know fuck about was cool. He appeared, but always double crossing this and that and his ultimate goal shouldn't have been something like global saturation.

RE needs Weskers' trolling.

Really hope I don't permanently have an AI parter in the single player campaign. Totally broke the tension in 5. I want this to be scary.

Seriously though the episodic structure sounds disappointing. One of the reasons RE 5 didn't have the same impact was because of the pacing. In Resident Evil 4 it added a lot more tension that Leon spent so much time in the elaborate village, castle and military island. It made it creepy finding hidden tunnels and shafts connecting areas. Resident Evil: Code Veronica probably had the best example of this in the series with so many alternate routes through Rockfort Island and a great sense of isolation with mostly one character on their own at a time, although it's not surprising this type of structure isn't being revisited in this generation.

That's pretty much exactly how RE5 looks at a good resolution with the piss filter removed. Because that's all it is.

piss filter makes the game look better. without it it looks like Chris is on his summer holidays. lets leave RE5 with what little atmosphere it has, thanks very much.

it's not episodic. it's three campaigns that you can tackle in whatever order you want, from the sounds of things. sort of like AVP.

Fall 2012 is going to be such a mess. Everyone trying to get their current games out before next-gen really begins and if MS is feeling adventureous next-gen will begin as soon as this fall. I'm calling it now, the industry is going to explode.

Are people still in denial over the fact that a white policeman gunning down mindless barbaric hordes of black people wielding spears and with bone piercings in their noses and stuff is racially loaded imagery?

lol

seeing how capcom has pretty much been in bed recently with nintendo I think that a wiiu announcement is being held off until e3

2 separate campaigns that overlap, interconnect for the full story, a la RE2...

1 campaign to be played solo (for the scares), the other to be played co-op (for the lulz).

Make dat work !

Please please be like RE5 and that Capcom just ignored all the complainers. I want tank controls and amazing mercenaries coop gameplay.

Actually, I don't care too much about the whole story mode thing. Just give me coop mercenaries with similar gameplay.

Am I really odd for being such a die hard fan of the series, playing every entry up through 5, and now just really not caring about the franchise at all? Haven't so much as looked at any footage of Revelations, ORC, or even Darkside Chronicles. I think I've reached total franchise apathy here. Feels bad, man.

As long as there are no cigar chompin' Majini with gatlin guns I should be good.

Jesus what were they thinking.

That was just the gatling gun Ganado from RE4 with a cigar.

Also I actually said "Are you kidding me" when I got to the part where Majinis had AK-47s and RPGs and I was pressing a button to get behind cover.

Are people still in denial over the fact that a white policeman gunning down mindless barbaric hordes of black people wielding spears and with bone piercings in their noses and stuff is racially loaded imagery?

lol

oh yeah the part where I got to the villages and saw the Majini there was the other "are you fucking kidding me" moment.

I think this game alone can redeem Capcom for me. RE5 is one of my favorite games of all time, so thinking about all the opportunities; it gives me goosebumps.
