Anyway, thanks to the lore and the fact that TF2 hasn't gotten swapped genders yet, I'd say (official) gender changes are slim to none.

Sorry, but you're wrong. They, and the hundreds of alternate weapons, undeniably affect performance. Much more on the CPU end than the GPU end, obviously.

Won't be nearly as much a problem in Dota, as there are only ten people max in each game, as opposed to upwards of 32, each with their own wide assortment of wacky accessories.

Compared to where the game started, the geometric complexity of scenes has skyrocketed. Big LOD patches became a matter of necessity.

Whether you're playing on an eon's old laptop or a bleeding edge Alienware desktop, the difference between LODs and none is measurably significant. It isn't a matter of debate.

The adding of items and weapons in TF2 also just made it unstable. Routine crashes for some people etc.

Fingers crossed they've learned their lessons. TF2 just became so inefficient and bloated.

works well for me. i rarely have more then 3 items that need a quick toggle so this is what I am content with for now. im sure 123 would work too, i was gonna do that too but was afraid it would be too close to qwer and i might hit em.
