They didn't have a "major impact" but they had an effect.
Remember, Romney lost every income tax bracket besides 200K+.

But perhaps it was the other way around? Obama held the Pipeline hostage in order to get the payroll tax cut approved and Boehner is just obliging. Also, Boehner may hold the payroll tax hostage for the pipeline.

If Romney becomes nominee I expect Dem activists to mount a big campaign educating America about Mormonism. DUM DUM DUM DUM DUMB.
Hmmm, I'm envisioning a "The Christian way is to honor they father" message.....Like his dad said, releasing one year of tax returns is meaningless, this issue won't really go away until he releases at least several years.

3 votes, 3 different candidates. LOL
McCain won New Hampshire.2008:
Iowa: Huckabee
N.H.: Mitt Romney
S.C.: Mccain
No it doesn't.This happens every election

Pretty sure Newt already guaranteed Santorum on his ticket after SC. It's up to Santorum to decide whether he wants a VP slot or simply continue gunning for presidency.I imagine that Newt Gingrich has filled Santorum's voicemail inbox this morning with messages of himself begging Santorum to drop out. If Santorum will drop out soon and Gingrich can muster up enough money to get him to Super Tuesday, I think he has a shot.
Romney did not win NH in 2008. I'm pretty sure this is the first time in a long time that this happened.

that'd be dumb. All religion is stupid. Sure, Mormonism is a bigger scam than usual, but when you get right down to it and start analyzing the facts, all religion is built on absurdities beyond count.
That'd just open Obama to a huge backlash.
Agreed. It'll be a Gingrich/Santorum ticket.
Gingrich covers the "Angry pompous old man" trait while Santorum draws in the evangelicals.
Newt doesn't wanna be a president. He knows he has tons of baggage that will destroy him. Newt just wants Newt time so he can sell more books, make more conserva documentaries and other stupid shit. That's why he won't select a "moderate" VP for the independent vote or whatever. What a shitball ticket all around. Authenticity, electability, likability, use of female genitalia.
Well, the good news is that we'll get to see Biden campaigning again.

yea your right I must be thinking of a different state where he won. My appologizes
Registered Voters In SC: 28% Black. Voters In SC Republican Primary: 99% White.
Andrew Sullivan: CHECK THIS OUT: In a state where African-Americans make up 28 percent of the electorate ... what an indictment of a party that in a diverse state, 99 percent of the voters were white.

I have missed the comedy relief of a good series of biden gaffes. Biden santorum debate would be one epic stream of hilarity.
Romney won :
(Michigan, Nevada (caucus), Wyoming, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana (caucus), Utah, Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, Alaska)
Jason Sudeikis' Biden almost makes up for the terrible Armisen Obama. Makes me wonder if Jay Pharoah could do a better Obama, he's the best mimic they've had for a decade.

The rule is pretty simple. The more recent a religion is, the more inauthentic it is. Imagine if we applied that standard to science.
I mean yeah I agree in a sense, but it's just really quibbling over details... all religions when you get right down to it have iron solid beliefs in truly insane stuff. That's why Obama would never go down that road, attacking someone's faith. One, it's hypocritical considering what he believes in. And two, this country is built on freedom to practice whatever religion one chooses, so it actually would be an attack on core American principles. Bad idea for a country that half believes Obama is a anti-American communist from Kenya.

This country was also founded on the idea that freedom to believe what you want doesn't make your belief's above criticism, nor are you entitled to never hear criticism about your beliefs. Calling out religious people is one of the most American things I can imagine.

First time EVER for the GOP (according to what I heard on the Politico show last night)
And a totally winning general election practice.
Can we put the "religion is bullshit" topic to some other thread please?
what?
It shouldn't be political suicide to be an atheist.
Start with that filthy illogically anti science christian obama and his theist extremist running mate biden!!!!Dude, cry some more. Some of us are sick of our leaders believing things for absolutely no reason and against all reason to the contrar.
Also, my response was correcting someone stating that questioning others religious beliefs is anti-american. Had he said that it would be seen as anti-american by the populace, I wouldn't have responded. If you actually bothered reading, you'd understand that you illiterate git.Ok, while we're on the topic of "I wish the world was this way", I'd like kate upton to start responding to my letters. I thought we were talking about what would actually be a good strategy to pursue in a general election.
I've called out Obama's religious beliefs plenty of time. Its pretty depressing that the "best" option is still an abominable choice.Start with that filthy illogically anti science christian obama and his theist extremist running mate biden!!!!

Take a gander at the exit polls if you likethey really are quite something. What they show is that Gingrich beat Romney soundly across the board: 42-26 with men and 38-29 with women; by nine or more points in every age cohort; by double digits in every educational cohort except those voters with postgraduate study (which Romney won by a bare two points); among both married and unmarried voters; among the poor, the middle class, and the rich; among Republicans and independents; among the very conservative and the somewhat conservative, losing only (by just five points) among self-described moderates or liberals; among tea party backers, God-squadders, Protestants and Catholics; among those most concerned about beating Barack Obama, about being a true conservative, and about having the right experience for the job of president; among late deciders and early deciders, and especially dramatically among those for whom the debates were important.
What's wrong with the President's religious beliefs?
what? There is always a NH primary for GOP or Democrate (depending on if the President is running for reelection). Last election McCain won the GOP nomination in NH. So how is this the first time?
Obama would be smokin' crack to run an attack ad against his Mormonism.
Here's how badly Newt bit Romney last night. This paragraph really sums it up and hits the nail on the head.
http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/01/heilemann-five-new-gop-primary-factors.html
Absolutely zero chance. He wouldn't give a fuck about that when there's plenty of other legitimate angles to attack from. Also, do people really think Obama would stoop to that level? Say what you want about the guy but I don't see him authorizing any bigoted attack ads
