Fuck the Giants. Fuck the Pats a little bit less. The football gods saved us from Rapistberger getting a 3rd ring, hopefully they will see fit to keep Eli from getting a 2nd.

The only worse Baltimore sports loss in my lifetime that I can think of is the Jeffrey Maier game. It was blatantly wrong, changed the course of that ALCS, the Orioles blew up that off-season, and they still haven't finished over .500 since. Time will tell on this one.

Looking towards the draft (since there is no reason to watch this year's SB), I think we should get a good young pass-rusher to compliment Suggs. One guy can't do it alone, too many double teams. The secondary will be fine, assuming Reed stays for another year, and we should still have another year or two before free-agency demands a rebuild.

Ravens need pass protection and run blocking first.

Ravens need pass protection and run blocking first.

I chalk that up to the longstanding need to replace Cam Cameron. In various games this year the O-line has done superbly in both functions. They look horrible when Cameron decides to go at the strength of a defense and refuses to change his game plan, e.g. all deep routes so that there's no underneath receiver when Flacco does get rushed.

Suggs mouthing "oh my god" as Cundiff missed the field goal is shockingly heart breaking to me, and I'm nowhere close to being a Ravens fan. He played his tail off this season and that defense was lights out that last quarter to set it up for overtime.

Refrigerator's QB Grades this Weekend -

Flacco - B+
Brady - D
Eli - B
Smith - LOL

I've never seen a larger chasm between a QB Rating and a QB's actual performance in game. Smith had a 97.6, but outside of 2 great throws to VD he was useless except for handing the ball off to Gore.

Anyone make a gif out of a disheveled Eli taking a timeout yesterday?

That was some funny shit... Surprised I haven't seen it yet. He looked like he was drunk.

Smith ran the ball too. Eli wasn't much or any better than Smith.

He was same old Eli. Good and Bad. LOL @ Trent calling Eli last night "masterful" Or Greeny saying you needed to watch to see how great he was not the stats.

Eli threw 2 balls that easily could of been INTs. And he put the ball on the ground 1 time.

Dude, how can you give Eli a worse grade than Flacco? Playing the Pats D and the 9ers havoc squad with little to no running game is a huge difference.

Eli was great in the first half, but was rattled by the rush in the second like A-Rod last week. He also had two throws that should've been picks had the 49ers' DBs not run into each other both times and knocked the ball out.

And outside of some skittishness I thought Flacco played very well. Made most of the throws he needed to and was a planted foot away from a game-winning TD.

Still pretty upset about Kyle Williams, Niners deserved to win that game and would have without him in the game.

Panthers and Niners (before Panthers existed in the 80's/90's) are my favorite teams, so the future is bright especially considering how bad they've been recently. Still, you never know when you'll get back, and the Niners would have (imo) beaten either team from the AFC.

I don't mind the current version of the Giants mainly because they beat the Patriots in that amazing game...definitely hate the Patriots from the whole Spygate thing...I'm sure they did that shit against the Panthers in the Super Bowl.

Eddie Murphy, ladies and gents! (I love this scene from Coming to America)

Go GIANTS!! SHOUTOUTS TO FRANKMAN, WELLI, FUTUREVOID, TABRIS, CHUCKDD AND THE REST OF GIANTS-AGE!

I'm honestly not sure if I'm even gonna watch this. Couldn't care less who wins this, only if Chad Johnson catches like 3 TDs and I'm not even sure he'll play.

Flacco is the only QB of these 4 who really deserves to be in the SB, well Eli made some really nice throws as well especially when he knew that he is going the get killed. You can't blame Flacco for Evans stupidity or an incapable kicker.

Eli made such clutch 3rd down throws though.

I'm not even remotely interested in this Super Bowl. I'll still watch it of course, because, you know, Super Bowl, but it's just a dull match up.

Don't get me wrong he was anything but bad..but let's face it. Without SF massive fuck ups on special teams the Giants probably wouldn't even have scored more than 10 points.

Which would of been all on the 49's front 7 just totally stomping the giant's o-line. That was brutal to watch.

Oh yeah. Eli was getting assualted out there. Might as well have put up police tape around the box.

I fear the Giants defense, Brady needs to play the game of his life to win in the SB.

Also the Pats need to stop puting Edelman 1-on-1 with the opposing teams best receiver, Edelman on Boldin was just stupid. If he plays Cruz like that he will be destroyed.

So glad I am a fan of hockey and basketball as well so the annoyance of having to skip another Patriots superbowl won't be such an annoyance.

If I was a Ravens fan I probably would have cried after that missed field goal.

If I was a 49ers fan I probably would have cried after that fumble.

Seriously, those were some heartbreaking losses.

Two bad mistakes by the same guy, but the most telling stat was 1/13 on third downs. Still incredulous it was as close as it was at the end.

Ian R. Rapoport @RapSheet
Tom Brady says on @WEEI he still can't watch highlights from the 2007 Super Bowl.

Girl is hurtin' still.

Niner and Ratbird fans, welcome to the life of a Cleveland fan. Sorry Niners. LOL, Rats better luck next year you fucks. Good to see that championship game curse followed your asses to Baltimore.

The last two teams I ever wanted to see in the SB...this is a nightmare.

At least the game is on NBC.

I will have to root for the Pats :(

I also owe 5 Giants fans at work lunch today :(

I also have to hear about it for two weeks from friends, co-workers, and family. I love NYC but hating living in it at times like these.

Fuck fat fuck Reid for directly handing the Giants this opportunity. Fuck Juan Castillo too.

Giants-Age, Jets-Age lends you their sword to once again vanquish the darkness and defeat the evil Cheatriots and Dark Emperor Brady.

Giants gonna beat the FUCK out of the Pats...can't wait.

Was there any sort of update on Gronk's injury? I saw it when it happened and it looked pretty bad, maybe a high ankle sprain. I haven't heard anything about it since aside from the fact that he was in a walking boot after the game.

Yeah Alex Smith was horrendous yesterday. I refuse to believe the Giants D is that good. Improved? Yes! Sound? Yes! But that dominant? Hell no.

It seemed like all Alex Smith did was drop back, not find a WR open or find the open WR, then roll out to his right to throw the ball away or at the dirt. Extremely frustrating to watch especially since the Giants almost gave them the game at least 3-4 times.

Why is that a bad thing? He actually cared and always seems to care when he does bad or the team losses.

And yes Patriots fans accept me into your hearts as I join you side for this limited time.

People bandwagoning onto the cheating ass patriots get no respect.

Super Bowl should be a good one. As a Giants fan, I'd love to deny the patriots another ring.

He said he would be good to go, but according to Rapoport Gronk will have tests on his ankle today to really see what is up.

Seriously? Fuck you Wellington.

You shit on the dad mourning the loss of his son when you beat the Packers and the above is all you can come up with when you vanquish the ultimate evil that is FMT and his assless chaps sex bondage ways? I could not be more disappointed with this post.

I take back what I said last week, we aren't cool. Not by a long shot! Go Patrio....

Oh God, I just threw up a little.

Alex didn't have any open WRs, that's the problem. The 49ers WRs are downright terrible at doing anything. They don't get any separation, they drop easy passes, they have no idea what a scramble drill is (Crabtree for example, will stop running if Alex rolls to the opposite side of the field. He won't try to get open, he'll just give up). They won't attempt to make a play on a ball (remember that incomplete pass that Cruz tipped as he was falling back, no 49ers WR will even attempt that). If Alex is getting pressured, they won't break off their route and come back to help their QB.

That's the biggest reason why the 49ers are so bad on 3rd down, cover up Davis and Walker and the 49ers aren't converting. The TEs are the only 49ers players who actually attempt to catch the ball.

Alex isn't that great of a QB, but he gets no help from his WR corp at all. Alex isn't going to force a ball if it isn't there.

"Flacco did better than Eli because he could've had a game winning TD, and Eli could've had 2 INTs."

That's like using Madden stats as qualifiers. One turned the ball over, one did not. One won the game, one did not.

End of story.
