Yeah, I've been pretty impressed with his presentation tonight.

Though they all seem a lot more subdued this time. Gingrich has really laid off the one-liners now that he doesn't have a crowd full of raucous morons.

Fred Thompson is about as big a part of the Republican establishment as Ron Paul. I can't imagine that his endorsement matters to anyone.

Yeah, they said they'd only support the dream act if they rip out the education from it, but they're for them "taking a risk" for citizenship.
 
BTW, I actually know several undocumented workers who "self-deported". But they're not trying to come back, it just wasn't worth it to live here.

Yeah I support Israel, they don't have the cleanest hands and they do shit wrong, but compared to Iran? Iran treats its people like crap, and they are a volatile nation. Why would you ever want to give them the ability to create a nuclear weapon? They frequently talk about the eradication of Israel, denounce the west, and threaten to damage the world economy and oil market by closing the straight of Hormuz?

They tried to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador on American soil too.

If you think that is poor reasoning to question Iran having a nuclear missile than put me on your ignore list, because we aren't going to get along.
 
I don't think Romney is still in the position in the race where he can take up debate time focusing on Obama. He should focus on his current opponents.

and of course making our defense budget grow even larger and whatever other pork the Republicans want

it's the same song and dance always. they don't want to raise taxes and they certainly don't want to increase the debt, but they refuse to cut into one of the biggest contributors to debt.

They're a bunch of hypocrites and nutjobs, but that's the sad state of the party right now. It's a shame. Bad enough we only have two viable parties to elect in this country... one has to be almost entirely batshit, and the other is just filled with cowards and pussies.
 
Romney moving back to attacking Obama was impressive in the sense that Gingrich was the candidate who initially planned on doing that. But Romney dragged him into a partisan fight and managed to beat him.

I think Romney is winning this in part because it's been a more casual, laid back affair. The red meat isn't being produced, and these two journalists are asking some good questions. Gingrich is being marginalized

Dream act says illegal kids brought here can be in line for citizenship if they a) get an education or b) join the military.

Newt/Romney = Nah, no education for them, but they can "earn" the citizenship in the military.
