3rd analog stick?
2nd screen
Anyone in the world knows that remote control cars are accel on the left, steer on the right!
What do you guys wager the expansion port will be used for? I'm thinking we might see a better camera or something.
Totally. Now the game seems like a touch control gimmick more than anything. Preorder canceled.Thats how I felt too when I watch the trailer. I've never been a fan of games where you have to manipulate the environment instead of the character to achieve a goal. They just don't "click" with me, like Echochrome.
If there is a demo and they have the option to swap the sticks then I am definitely in, but if I cant swap the sticks then there is no way I will play it, it would just feel so wrong.Throttle on a trigger and steering with a wheel was my preference.
Most of the impressions I've read from Motorstorm that were negative were generally about the camera not being inside or directly above the car (which would defeat the purpose of it being RC) and from the controls because they couldn't work them out. I'll be keeping it on my "probably" list until I've played it for myself.
I own it on the iphone, ipad, ps3 and PC (as stated earlier in this thread). The best playing version without a doubt, is the ipad version. Absolutely perfect touch control game. Second would be the iphone (screen is a little small but still better than using a mouse or controller). Third is pc with a mouse. 4th is a controller.
Am serious
Plants vs Zombies, if you havent picked it up yet on another platform.

No insult, but I never liked those trigger remote, some of my competitors used them, and let me try theirs out, but they never clicked with me.
Plus I used the same remote for both my cars and my planes, so it helped streamline my kit a bit.
Is there a site dedicated to Vita trophy lists yet?
Apparently the designers decided to go with steering direction on the LEFT analogue, and acceleration on the RIGHT?!

I'm probably just going to be playing psp games on this thing until gravity rush.
Shitty review. I bet this guy doesn't even played the game. He only explains some generic stuff already shown in some videos and previews. Forgets to talk about 80% of the features and content.Eurogamer.net reviewed Wipeout. They gave it 7/10.
My local GameStop has a Vita now. But it's covered under plastic. They told me they will only expose the Vita for hands-on @ launch day. 8^/

This is probably just me, but I have completely scratched Uncharted off my list of games I wanna get for the Vita. I liked the series when it first started, really remember enjoying UC1. I remember liking UC2 less but I thought that was mainly cuz I didn't enjoy the story as much as the first. I just finished playing UC3 yesterday finally, and ugh...I am just done with that series.
I still didn't really have a huge attachment to the story as much, but my biggest problem was actually playing that game. The enemies were such bullet sponges, and I felt the linear nature of the platforming and set piece parts just were not fun or as impressive anymore. I think they hit a home run with UC1 because at the time it was really impressive, and then they tried to continue that with UC2 which is fine...but I felt it was just played out with UC3 and I didn't care anymore. Combat drove me nuts because I could shoot enemies so many times and they're still standing. They didn't refine the series to make the games actually play better, they just made more crazy set pieces.
Anyway, it just really helped me realize I have no urge or desire to play Uncharted Golden Abyss on my Vita. I'm done with that series so much, and once again wish that Gravity Rush was a day 1 release instead.
I'm not even sure if it's worth getting again. I like the taco supreme and beefy crunch burrito, but the crunchwrap supreme was serious horse shit. I drenched it in hot sauce, as it was the only way to eat it without losing my appetite.Taco Bell near me had them today
bought one but didn't win![]()
Yeah, I agree. He didn't really give his thoughts on the multiplayer campaign. Still his complaints seemed valid.Shitty review. I bet this guy doesn't even played the game. That loading times were what I experienced in the old beta, that someone said it was an old TGS build. So I doubt they wouldn't improve it for the final game.
Edit : At the end of the review they even admit they didn't played the final EU build (or even a EU review build), he says that just played a JP version.
So I went to two Taco Bells today..
Neither of them had the boxes
One told me they should be getting theirs in tomorrow.
The other told me they're getting theirs in on Monday, so they let me get two of the meals, signed my receipt, and are going to give me two boxes when they get them in on Monday..
Hopefully the first Taco Bell gets theirs tomorrow.
Well that is most common set up in videogames. Steer with left, accelerate with right.
But sure they should have an inverted option for the real RC racers...
Its worth noting that the controls are 100% customisable, meaning the player can really adjust the game to suit their playing style.
Eurogamer said:the dip in frame-rate and the move to the Vita's less substantial analogue stick stings a little
BURN THE ANALOG STICK WIPEOUT HERETIC
Other than that it seems valid - load times are going to be a constant bug bear for people with some games though, i can't see how we get around it easily (though Wipeouts SHOULD be faster)
So far my list is looking to be
HORI Elite Pack
...And either Uncharted, or Hot Shots Golf.
Hey now, I'm good either way...actually finding the analog control in 2048 quite tasty. But I can see some sections of our stubborn old AG Racing league not willing to forgo the digital taps.

Wow, really good trailer.
i just can't do it - i don't know what it is - same with Winning Eleven, i just can't play the games on analog sticks![]()

He complained of clutter in the game, is it an actual issue (i.e. distracting to the racing) or is he just complaining that it lacks the cleanliness of later WO games? WO has always been visually busy, although usually in a different way, but I'm always so intently focused I don't notice it when I'm actually playing the games.
Yes.Just a quick question, is Rayman Origins confirmed to be a launch title for the Vita?
To those complaining about Golden Abyss who actually havent played it - it is A LOT better then UC3, more on par with UC2. The story is interesting and the game is actually fun. Im really enjoying it and i HATED UC3 and stopped in the middle cos it was so boring.
I liked it a lot better than UC3. It just feels like there is more treasure hunting, and some neat uses of touch. The story also was decent, but I posted more detailed impressions in the OT. If you like Uncharted, you'll probably enjoy it. Some of it felt cumbersome (touch mini game stuff) but the puzzles feel more involved, and the controls feel great when you get used to them!
