You bitches need to lay off Hard Candy! Incredible, The Beat Goes On, Spanish Lesson... Pharrell went in on those beats!

As for this video, apart from me still being amazed at how stupid Nicki's faces can be and MIA continuing to be a sold out shadow of her former self I gotta admit..... Madonna looks kinda good!

The Beat Goes On and Spanish Lesson are horrendous.

Incredible has as redeeming feature the beat playing from 2:50 till 3:20 and at the end of the song. The whole song should've been based on that beat. It's the only reason I occasionally play that song.

Miles Away and Heartbeat are the best songs on Hard Candy, imo.

Madonna may not be relevant in today's music any more, but she has definitely given the deaf a reason to be proud of themselves.

LMFAOOOOOOOOOO sis did you see the gif of Gaga shooting Madge in the video? im dying. I think its on tumblr

Twitter and tumblr are such a mess today

Also, on the subject of Hard Candy. Voices is a pretty good song, but wtf at the horrendous compression/mastering going on!! The beat completely cracks throughout the song. Unbelievable.

This Hard Candy talk reminds me that Timbaland shat on two careers in the span of a year: Madonna and Björk.

... though Bj has proven she's become a tragic former shell of herself with that last album. Madonna has yet to slide down so precipitously.

Hold up, wait a minute!
Timbaland produced two tracks on Volta and provided drum programming for a third. This means that 80% of the record was down to Bjork. There's no way that in producing two tracks that Timabaland could have been responsible for the scope, vision or sound of the whole record, the rest of that mess was on Bjork only, which was further proved by her last album.

As for Hard Candy... well..... at least he wasn't the one who had Madonna saying shit like:

See my booty get down like (Oh)
See my booty get down like (Come on, oh)
See my booty get down like (Lower)
See my booty get down like (Little lower baby)
Get down (Oh)
Get down (Oh)
See my booty get down like

Btw, I'll never understand these rap intermezzo's in a song. They all suck ass. MIA and Minaj are totally unnecessary in this song.

The video is ok and she looks good, but the music is generic and the snippets from a couple of other songs I heard seemed even worse. It seems like a HC2 is on the way, i.e. generic dance material to use as an excuse for a new tour. Madonna the passionate artist that produces actually interesting pop art now appears to be officially defunct.

Rolling Stones Review

But the tune and the lyrics seem dashed off, and the aggressive, assaultive spunkiness makes you want to run and hide. Not even the presence of two of the world's most reliably irrepressible pop stars, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., can lift this party out of the doldrums. N-O thanks: don't wanna

2/5

Catchy, I didn't hate it, up until the pointless rap section. Reminds me of bad 90s songs.
I expected far more from this - the chorus doesn't go anywhere and feels like a throwaway Kylie Minogue song.

I liked most of her Confessions album (Jump, particularly - DAT CROSSOVER from the previous track) but she hasn't done anything good since, imo.

I'll never get it. It has never made a track sound better. Just give me some awesome instrumentals instead of some shitty rapping.

It seems like it's something that's stuck around since the 90s, when hip-hop and hip-hop influenced pop were the mainstream. Anytime there's a "rap break," I just blame Mariah Carey, and call it a day.

lets be honest, homos just liked confessions on a dance floor because one of its songs sampled ABBA.

That same Rolling Stone that gave Hardy Candy 4/5...lol.

That was the one song I didn't like :P

Michael Jackson had them in some of his songs too. Horrid.

Confessions... is a fantastic album but I do think it's a Blackout kind of thing where it's the fact that they got in stupendous producers (producer) and let them let their hair down.

Please. Forbidden Love and Get Together are the best songs on Confessions ^_^

Shirley you mean Jump and I<3NY.

I love the video its been too long since we had a Madonna video. <3

Who's ABBA?

In all seriousness I had no idea who they were until last year when i saw Mamma Mia.
