Let's face it, you beat a garbage Falcons team. Then you beat a crappy Green Bay defense that couldn't even stay competitive with the refs basically trying to hand them the game. Finally you followed it up with a win(barely) over a team that converted 1(!!!) third down all game, and I think 1 pass to a WR all game. Not exactly the toughest gauntlet to run.
Well first of all, I didn't beat anybody. I was sitting my comfy ass on a couch watching the games. Secondly, a couple pages ago you said those were all "impressive wins" and the reason why the Giants should by no means be considered underdogs So which is it?

Shutting out the Falcons, beating Green Bay in Lambeau (with some of the worst officiating I've seen all year) and then beating the Niners team at home playing the best defense of anyone in the league wasn't the "toughest of gauntlets" for a 9-7 team out of the "NFC Least" as everyone liked to call it? Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit.

It's called trash talk. You just ate the trash. Nom nom nom

And hey, if you listen to all the talk from the Giants locker room, you should be filled with confidence. They're both disrespected and sure they're gonna win.

This team is better than the '01 Pats team who were mediocre offensively. It's also hilarious you think a team with a point differential of -6 in the regular season wouldn't be the worst team to win a Super Bowl in the last 20 years.

I think the Giants are playing better but saying they should dominate them is a bit much. In their regular season meeting the Pats had a ton of turnovers and lost on a late Eli drive.

The Giants defense has been pretty bad most of the season and allowed more points than the Patriots during the year.

I think what people see is the Giants have played better teams in the playoffs and they think that's an indication of how this game will go. And I think while they've been more impressive it's ultimately irrelevant.

Giants were decimated by injuries in the first matchup, they went in with personnel problems and still came away with a W. I'm sure the Pats had their share as well, but I think the advantage belonged to the Pats in game 1.

Again, injuries played a big part in their defensive troubles for most of the season, not an excuse but a fact. Secondary still has issues.

I really don't care who they beat to get to the SB, I just think they have better offensive players than the Pats do. Patriot secondary is terrible, they can't cover anyone, and I can't even begin to imagine the matchup nightmare this week.

My feeling is that the Pats will come out running, it's where they match up best. Pound run, not to eat clock but to free up the tight ends. When you're TEs are getting into the 3rd level in the run game safeties start to hesitate and take false steps. Easy way to hit guys in the seam, and set up 4 verticals.

'01 wasn't very good, but this one has a historically bad defense. I think they'd be one of the worst, they beat one team with a winning record, only team that mattered though, might make it two on Sunday.

Pats had issues with injuries on the O-line and obviously on defense, but nowhere near the issues Giants had on offense and defense. And the Pats were at home. That was the very definition of "bad loss". And if I remember correctly, that was Brady's first home loss in the regular season in about 7 years. And also was the end of a long streak of never losing two games in a row.

Jesus mother fucking cunt ass christ. You want to see what it truly the worst officiating on the planet? Turn on the Big Ten Network right now.

WCHA refs make NFL officials seem like infallible robots of correctness.

The future of officiating is guys in the booth assisting the on ice/field referees. It's absurd not to use the technology in real time. No long ass delays, or running over to coaches to explain things. Just a quick PA announcement and then move on

Is it safe to assume that the Giants are going to have the crowd (for the most part) on their side Sunday? Indy fans rooting for a Manning/against rival and more Giants fans than Patriots at the game.
Just got home from downtown. Got some pictures and a video of some Jesus freak saying we'll go to hell. They are almost at every corner as well. =/
