NFL Super Bowl XLVI |OT| Matchup More Unwanted Than Madonna's Halftime Show

This is the first time in years that I care more about booze and wings than the match up. At least the first time the Giants were a Cinderella team going into the SB. This is just...whatever.

I just want this shit over so we can see if the Colts release Manning on Tuesday or so. If his arm strength gets back up to snuff, I think Cards have the best chance of attaining him out of everyone. Insta-SB contenders overnight.

Peyton should be a A-Rod-esque douche and demand to be released during the Super Bowl broadcast.

Eli back to pa...this just in. Peyton Manning, the greatest of all the Mannings, has been released by th...

**Eli stares at the jumbletrom. Fumbles and Vince Wilfork runs it back for 99 yards.**

Curtis Martin is not a Hall of Famer. Was very good with a lengthy career, but I don't remember ever thinking "oh shit we gotta stop him or we'll lose". For skill position guys, I think that's a good litmus test. Tim Brown definitely needs to be in. They've gotta clear the WR logjam

edit: Doleman definitely deserves HoF, but not over Haley. Curtis Martin really bugs me. If he had played in KC and Phoenix instead of Boston and New York, he would have never had a prayer

Curtis Martin is a HOF. Plain and simple.

Killdumb would pass on the 1 yard line :jnc

Never cracked 2000 yards from scrimmage, put up a few really good years with the Jets, never repeated those early TD numbers, not much of a receiver, one dimensional but never really had a lot of talent around him.

Very consistent, I don't know if I'd put him so soon. Like squicken said, he never scared you. I don't understand how you can leave some of these receivers out so long, do they have to go into the voting room and blow Peter King?

Yeah I would have Reed, CC, and Brown all in before Martin. I understand the committee's issue w/ WRs, but they are now officially paralyzed on the issue, and the panel needs to be churned

Mark Sanchez. Mark motherfuckin' Sanchez...

Good shit. Curtis was pure class and a tough bastard.

I think this has a lot to do with it. Guy played through injuries, never complained, and was a total class act. Now contrast that with Cris Carter.

Personality must be a factor to some of these voters, it's the only explanation for Carter being snubbed repeatedly. Will Harrison get in before Carter? Maybe they just hate receivers.

Committee guys say the WRs are splitting the vote. No one guy stands out and can't build consensus in the room

Yeah, I've read that before but at this rate no one is getting in and they'll just keep piling up. Harrison will get in next year on the first ballot, no question about it.

Glad to see Curtis Martin make the hall of fame.

Best Jets RB ever, he deserved it.

I like to pretend he never played for the Patriots though.

Willie Roaf getting in the HoF is part of the wonderful Detroit Lions history of being awful. They traded the pick that NO used to take Roaf for a washed up Pat Swilling

Albert Breer thinks the reason for the Pats cutting Underwood so late is that they didn't want the Giants to claim him and Underwood knew he was going to get cut earlier in the week.

edit: Rap Sheet said that Underwood learned about it today.
