Is it really arrogance when she's just stating the facts? Even the most charitable of music superstars can and do charge hundreds of dollars for their concerts. These prices often relate to the (in)frequency of the tours, not to mention the crazy budgets for the overall spectacle; one of Madonna's Confessions tour props cost $2 million alone, hah! When they say it's worth it, you better believe that shit's going to be ridiculous in person. For many people, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we all like to complain about but end up frantically throwing money at once the opportunity comes along -- whether it's truly affordable or not. If someone can't justify that cost, well, there's always the Blu-ray.
I haven't been to a lot of shows (hell, the absolute best one only cost $10) but I'm eventually going to bite the bullet and shell out to see Madonna, Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac (even in their current form, I'd sell a kidney for this), along with a few others because, let's face it, there aren't going to be a lot more chances to see these people live.
