Howdy from the uk, so watched the game in its full glory yesterday and had a great time. I think I could get into this game.

Can anyone recommend some games from this season that are worth watching again?
If you hate the Patriots then Bills/Pats and Steelers/Pats are two of the most delicious games of what is now last season.

Saints vs Packers- Literally the first game of the season
Niners vs Saints (Playoffs)
Giants vs Packers (Regular Season)
Patriots vs Ravens (Playoffs)
Steelers vs Broncos (Playoffs)
Cowboys vs Niners
Cowboys vs Giants (First Game)
Lions vs Raiders
Lions vs Packers (Second Game, just to see God Among Men Flynn)

Guys, guys...we just won...

THE MOTHERFUCKING SUPER BOWL!

It's the day after and I'm still not sure that it has fully sunk in yet. I truly thought the Giants were done for after the Patriots came out of halftime with that touchdown drive that completely embarrassed the defense. I thought they sealed their graves by being unable to score touchdowns on their first two scoring drives of the second half and being forced to settle for field goals. But the defense stepped up and shut out the Patriots for the final 26 minutes and Eli went into fourth quarter Eli-te mode.

Good triumphed over evil, feels good man.

It's just such an improbable run for a team that was losers of four straight and 6-6, the team that didn't show up and got embarrassed by the Redskins in week 15. I'll tell you what though, I would NEVER trade these insane playoff runs for a 19-0 season. It's so much more special to see this team battle against adversity and come together for an amazing playoff run and somehow, against all odds, become Super Bowl Champions.

Shoutouts to the laundry list of injured players, who caused me to give the Giants a free pass for this year before the season even began:
-Marvin Austin
-Jonathon Goff
-Clint Sintim
-Will Beatty
-Domenik Hixon
-Terrell Thomas, as well as the 7 other CBs we lost to injury
-and most importantly, Michael Clayton (RIP Frankman)

"Eli Manning, 2-time Super Bowl MVP" has got a nice ring to it. I'm glad Wellington got to experience it in person, I'll see everyone else at the parade on Tuesday.

That's a good list (you love the Packers so much).

This is touching and tender,

But yeah. Makes it harder to feel bad for TOm BRady.

QB class of 04 racking up SB rings. OK it's Ben and Eli who are racking up rings as Rivers tries but can get there and Losman, well lets leave Losman out of it.

Fuck that bullshit. Brady needs to sit her down, and tell her to shut the fuck up.

Yeah, that was huge. It should have been at least a batted down ball, at best a pick 6 (there was no one to beat but Eli). The Patriots had the exact right call and Eli threw the ball blindly. It was a freaking TERRIBLE throw into the perfect coverage. Only problem was for some reason that only that idiot can explain, he had his back to Manning. Terrible play by all involved, except for the catch. That's a tough catch in traffic.

Catch was awesome. I don't know how he even saw the ball since Mayo blocked his view for a split second as the ball was thrown. I really was hoping the Pats could find someone to replace Mayo, but for whatever reason the team loves him. He is just pure garbage. He isn't good against the run, and he isn't good in coverage. He routinely gets killed by olineman, and as you saw yesterday he was zero instincts/awareness.

Pats had no choice, but to put Molden on Nicks. I don't trust Belichick and his drafts anymore. I still think he is a great coach, but his personnel decisions have been horrible lately. The Pats still has Glass-I. He looked ok in the beginning of the season when he wasn't hurt, and maybe he can develop into a solid corner. I have no idea what you can do with McCourty. How do you fix a player like that? I'm fucking done with Mankins, and his bullshit tough guy act. Get your ass destroyed all game , and still act like your the shit. They should seriously consider trading Tom Brady, and starting over. I love Brady, but if some team gave me a ton of picks I would move him.

Is this serious?

The guy gives you three rings, a perfect regular season, and was the main reason you make it to the Super Bowl this year.... But you want to TRADE him for some picks?!?!? Maybe some of you have forgotten how hard it is to land an ELITE QB that can not only take you to the Super Bowl, but also win? Because as a Falcon fan I sure as hell haven't. But hell if you don't want him then trade Brady to us, you can have all our picks along with Matty Ice lol.

They don't mean it. They're just upset.

I enjoyed reading that Tom Brady article on Yahoo.

Really captures how numb a player can be after a loss like that.

It blows my mind that so many people are pinning the blame on Welker and not on Brady. Every other fanbase would destroy their quarterback for that throw. If Welker comes down with that ball, it's one of the greatest catches in Super Bowl history. Maybe even supplanting Swann's catch in SB X. Welker isn't an acrobat, people. He's a possession, run after the catch guy. To think that he should have brought that in like it was routine is insane.

I've always liked you.

Steelers need to find some answers at o-line and to get some young blood on defense.

If we can get two good defensive players in the draft (a long shot) and avoid a 1 or 2 seed we could contend again for a title next year.

Is there a way for a coach to actually have his team peak in the late December like seemingly every recent SB champion has done recently or is it all luck?

People trying to call it "routine" are funnier than the salty nuts who were crying all over the thread last night saying the Giants were the worse team.

Norv does it all the time. Unfortunately he forgets that December isn't the only month in the season.

It's insane to think otherwise. Nothing about that pass screamed "uncatchable" for almost any wideout in the NFL. His receivers still failed him when he needed them.

So basically you want to get rid of two of your best players? lol

Doesn't matter. Belichick would just waste the picks for more short guys or TEs to use as RBs or WRs to use as DBs just to prove to the world what a genius he is.

WTF are you even talking about. Mayo is one of the best players on this team? Did you watch this scrub play 16 games this season? Go watch every snap of the Pats defense the last two years, and then come back and tell me Mayo is a good player. He is fucking garbage.

The fuck?

I just don't like her calling out the Pats receivers especially for dropping passes. She should know better than to be saying stupid shit like that. It's just putting more blame on a person who doesn't deserve it (Welker). As soon as she made that comment it just gives the retarded fan base more ammo to bash Welker.

Are you suggesting that you are a member of this "retarded" fan base? Of course Welker deserves blame.

Yeah but Norv's powers run out in January.

Most coaches are able to turn those late season bullshit December runs into Superbowls.

No they are not. ied ha an insane December record also. Not only do you need to peak at the right time you need to get some breaks, and that is not something you can plan for.

I can only imagine what that must be like. :(

Regarding the offseason, does anyone have a list of the key dates (like the draft, free agency, camps, etc.)?

hahahahahha. it's always luck when someone beats the pats. was brady not himself this game again? ahahahahahhaah

ahahahahha

ahahahhahaha
hahhahahhahhaa
hahah

Not what I said at all. But it's fine, you're still in troll mode so it's not worth having an actual conversation.

I like how that article says Katy caught wind of the Tim Tebow rumors and that they've been "linked" when the "rumors" started when her mom said she should date him and she's been crowing after him like a teenage girl since.

Idiots.

Well, whether or not Tebow is a virign, Katy Perry is a good get,

Can't get mad at that.

We can only blame one player for this loss. A destroyer of Patriotic dreams and rumor has it that he hates America and all that is good in this world.

Bernard Pollard.

Did Brady make the best pass on that play? No but it was still within reason to think Welker could catch it. He had the ball hit his hands and no one around him when it did.
