Today is the last day you can preorder the FEB at Gamestop.

I must resist the urge to go in there in the next couple of hours and doing it. It's a ripoff but I don't know if I can manage waiting the one week :(

Just got this email from Amazon:

"wipEout 2048"
Previous estimated arrival date: February 15, 2012
New estimated arrival date: February 13, 2012

So it seems like Amazon will be shipping them early. Wipeout, at least.

Sad to see some orders aren't being delivered today. Its weird how Amazon is cancelling some for delivery today, but not others. My 8GB card, Wipeout, and HSG are out for delivery, but a buddy of mine ordered Uncharted, a 32GB card, and the Sony Screen Protectors, and his order has changed to "Not Yet Shipped."

FYI, my FEB also shows "Estimated Delivery Feb 10th-Feb 15th", anyone else's FEB still showing this?

My Hot Shots Golf and cradle order from Amazon arrived today. For whatever reason, when I canceled my travel pouch portion of the order yesterday, it changed Hot Shots and the cradle from "not yet shipped" to "shipping soon". FIFA Soccer which was also part of my order still says it won't be here until the 14th.

My 8GB card that the wife got me for Christmas feels puny, only 3.5 GB left with 3 games downloaded =(. I will definitely wait for a 64gb version before purchasing another one though. I just need my go-to games on the card. All that's missing is a fighter of some sort and FIFA.

For those that have downloaded PSP games, do any of them have the ability to enable the use of the right analog stick? Was thinking for titles like Dissidia 2, 3rd birthday and Valkyria Chronicles 2. Can't seem to find an answer.

Preordered a few games at Gamestop and the clerk said Katamari and Virtua Tennis are clear for release today, but they didn't have either of them in stock yet. They did, however, already have copies of Lumines, but that one won't be for sale early.

I would buy a small memory card now. I am betting Amazon has some good sales on the big ones in the next few months. $100 is insane for 32GB...

Iirc you touch the screen and a menu pops up with various options, including assigning stuff to the second stick.

My PSVita cradle should get here tonight. If it does, I'll post what it comes with.

My thought is it just comes with the unit, and you plug in the included Vita cable - no extra. But I'll check.

This is the 10th time I changed my order. I decided to forgo the FEB and use the $100 on games.

PlayStation Vita - WiFi
32GB PlayStation Vita Memory Card
PlayStation Vita Protective Film - Two Pack
Uncharted: Golden Abyss - action/adventure
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational - sports
wipEout 2048 - racing
Rayman Origins - platformer
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND - fighter
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention - rpg
Unit 13 - shooter

plus

Super Stardust - shoot'em up
Escape Plan - puzzle

I wanted to make sure that I get one of each genera. It's actually an amazing launch line-up from Sony that it covers every aspect of gaming with a good game. February 22nd can’t come soon enough!

Yep, games and memory are going to get heavily discounted once Sony or its retailers realize how stupidly priced they both are. It's a shame they have to fail first before they do the smart thing. As an early adopter, I learned my lesson finally with the 3DS and won't be making that mistake with the Vita. I'm just buying the Wifi, the cheapest memory card and Lumines. I'll wait for the other things I want to drop drastically in price or be part of some buy 2 get 1 free deal.

lol good luck with that theory, 32GB memory stick pro duos go for about the same price as the Vita ones

right now on Amazon the cheapest you could get is a Lexar at $84, Sony's is $94 and Sandisk is $105

honestly the people complaining about memory card prices, did you never own a PSP?

My preorder is almost done! I'm getting Wipeout, Uncharted and Rayman.

But I want a fighting game too! I'm a total newbie with fighting games, but I loved Street Fighter on 3DS. Should I get UMvC3 or BlazBlue? Help me decide! :(

I find that BlazBlue has a steep learning curve. It does have a good training mode however.
UMvC3 is easy to pick up and play IMO. This is the one I'm grabbing at launch.

Hopefully we will have Street Fighter X Tekken at some point in the near future.

Dammit, all this GPS app talk makes me want to cancel my Wifi Amazon preorder and get the 3G bundle from Lockerz...but then that means I would have to wait longer for it to come in :(

They never bought the 32gb pro duo.
I did, so I don't mind the price of Vita MC prices

or they are just talking out of their ass

But Vita memory cards can only be used with a PlayStation Vita.

Thanks! I looked at some videos and prefer the looks of marvel vs capcom too.

Pre ordered mortal kombat too!

UMvC3 is great for getting into fighting games. That and Street Fighter IV are what got me into learning fighting games. On the other hand, Blazblue is really hard to get into, at least for me.

I remember thinking I got a great deal several years ago when I got my 8GB pro duo for ~$60 so $100 for a 32GB seems like a steal in comparison (not to mention having spent over $100 for a 1GB pro duo way back in '05 or so...)

you can fairly compare the prices to microSD cards when it's not the same tech and Sony has NEVER used SD cards, but logic doesn't factor into this

I got my Uncharted copy yesterday. I hope my Gamestop gets Vitas early...

Standards have changed since then. 32GB SD cards only go for 30-40 bucks...MUCH less than the vita memory cards and 100x more useful.

Does anyone know how long the Vita charge cord is? I think I need an extension cable of some sort.

It's a shame. Blazblue has a fantastic art style and would look beautiful on that screen but I wonder how much I would play it. I might still find myself grabbing it at launch. We shall see. It's either that or Virtua Tennis 4.

PS Vita Ridge Racer to have FREE day one DLC.

Did anyOne catch this news from yesterday? Although it's written specifically about the UK/EU version, I can't imagine that the NA version would be any different. This actually bumps Ridge Racer up to a day one purchase as long as it's $26.99 on PSN.

If I do end up getting it along with Lumines & Hot Shots, it'll be just like 3/24/05 all over again!

I got the same update for the case that I ordered. I'm assuming everything will be shipped out for the 13th rather than 15th :D
They started shipping games out yesterday, so if you got in on that you could have games, cases, and memory cards by today. Looks like they changed that though so now everything has RDD of the 13th.

A new contender has entered the ring. The extra content doesn't seem like enough yet but I might grab it for $26.99 on PSN.

Standards have changed? Did you really think Sony would use an SD card?

Besides, they are clearly having issues with memory card speed and plenty of SD cards wouldn't be up for the task.

Emailed amazon last night about HSG being in stock and mine not shipping, now getting one day shipping plus they gave me a $5 off for next purchase. Love them.

Sadly the PDP case is still "3 to 5 weeks" on Amazon, but will get it after work from Gamestop as they finally got them in stores (been on the site for a week now). May as well use some of those reward points to cash out a coupon for it.

Argh... you guys are scaring me. I went with BlazBlue over MVC because it looks so awesome! But if I cant play it, then what's the point. Is there an instruction mode in the game or videos of how to play online?

I've just been looking at some youtube vita unboxing videos. I think I might need to get a unit at launch now.

Only two weeks to go !

I believe this game includes the training mode that the other games have which is pretty comprehensive. There may be videos online that will help you out.

Check the OT for the game for more info. I'm sure they can help you out.

It's very similar in style to Guilty Gear.

You can find tutorials online. There are some in the game, but it's not helpful enough to really tell you what you need to know. I'd say BlazBlue is pretty technical compared to most fighting games, especially if you spend time with multiple characters. I'd say the best thing to do is find one who seems interesting and spend a good amount of time just with them before branching out. As for the game itself, it's as fully featured as the console releases and looks gorgeous on the Vita screen, so it's not a bad choice.

Well. Please tell me this isn't a real ad. Please? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGSAme5J9Sc&feature=g-u-u&context=G2fcbf69FUAAAAAAALAA

EDIT: I assume its for PAL territories since the date is like that?

With the date like that it could be for 90% of the planet. The US do it odd
wrong
and I think Japan does it the only really logical way. The rest of us do it in nearly the most logical way.

And by god that's terrible. Hopefully its part of at least 2 adverts within a single commercial break.

Still on the fence with the Vita. Would the 16GB be enough if I plan on downloading about half the games I buy? $100 seems pretty steep for the 32GB and I would have to import from the US as well.

Decisions....

Where would you be importing it to?

Quick question, is it possible to have multiple accounts on the Vita if you have two memory cards? I tried looking it up but there seems to be conflicting articles about it, some say you can do it with multiple memory cards and others say that it is tied to the hardware.

exactly.

graywolf, where have you been my whole life?
