It's arguably $35 if you intend on taking advantage of the "free" game since you have to sign a one month contract beyond the free trial period in order to qualify. Might as well just invest in a game or 16 GB card if you have no intention of using the 3G. That's what I did anyway when I realized the free game really wasn't free.

There's a catch to the free game in the 3G bundle? Didn't know that.

I made my decision. I'm just going to get the wifi system and invest in a memory card.

I don't think I'll ever use the 3G and I don't think I want to pay to use it either. I'd rather use that money for more PSN cards.

Standards have changed? Did you really think Sony would use an SD card?

Besides, they are clearly having issues with memory card speed and plenty of SD cards wouldn't be up for the task.

We should just compare the prices of a Class 10 SD card then.

Argh... you guys are scaring me. I went with BlazBlue over MVC because it looks so awesome! But if I cant play it, then what's the point. Is there an instruction mode in the game or videos of how to play online?

LOL.. Opinions my friend.. Blazblue IMHO. Is very easy to get into. I'm average at best when it comes to fighting games. I beat the Blazblue Calamity Trigger story mode 100% (no easy feat). And did decent online.. If you put time with training mode (which is very customizable) you'll be pulling off all the character moves. Better yet, finishing moves (distortion and astral) will most likely be one-button push/touch. So I wouldn't worry too much about mastering controls.

I said I'd keep it, as long as I didn't have to pay the full price for the game. He apologized again, and offered a $30 credit on my account.

So I'll just reorder Wipeout, and received Uncharted for the price that Wipeout was ($30).

Hopefully no one else has issues w/ their orders!

Did anyOne catch this news from yesterday? Although it's written specifically about the UK/EU version, I can't imagine that the NA version would be any different. This actually bumps Ridge Racer up to a day one purchase as long as it's $26.99 on PSN.

If I do end up getting it along with Lumines & Hot Shots, it'll be just like 3/24/05 all over again!

Is RR up for purchase on the NA Sony Entertainment Network Store?

The Vita charge cable is just a simple USB cable right and the only proprietary end is the one that sticks into the system?
Im not sure if the charge cable is long enough to reach my wall outlet but I have a USB extension cable. If I just buy one of those wall outlet USB adapters, I should be good.

RE: Lumines Electric Symphony. I haven't played the series yet, but I love puzzle games. I've seen it for $10 or so on a few different DD services like Steam, XBLA and PSN - so why are they charging $40 for the Vita game? Seems a bit much, is there more to it than the DD versions?

I got Resistance a few days before the PS3 launched and I probably skimmed the manual 20 times in anticipation. I have to agree with you here.

The PSN and XBLA versions are infinitely better bargains, even when you add the exceptional download song packs. They're charging 40 for the Vita version because that appears to be the thing to do. It's the only game I *must* own at launch so I'm paying it, but I know full well that it will be 19.99 shortly. I recommend checking out the free demo on XBLA to see if you even like it.

Ok, I can see that. It's situational. My Vita is being shipped by Amazon.com. I thought it was shipping with all that other stuff all coming on the 15th (FEB). In that situation, I don't want items I can't use. That's doubly so when I'm having a hard time with the wait as is.

If I were picking up the Vita at a store, I'd want to find a way to be sure that I had the stuff handy to use it right away too.

That wasn't really the issue.
It was just that it was confusing that you had to set up as New and choose that option before you could actually sign in with your personal account. Something like that.
A minor UI thing.
