Having embargoes for these games is stupid I gotta say...the system has been out for over a month and half in Japan. Lots of people online forums, and youtube have been able to post video/impressions/reviews of many of these games for weeks now. Why tie the hands like that of any publication? It's not like they're getting any exclusivity here.
Dunno about anyone else but we've not had code through for anything but MvC3, Ridge Racer and the Sony first party stuff.
It's like any other game that has been out in Japan for some time and is just coming out in the US. They're embargoed as well. Journalists have to sign those embargo agreements to receive their free games.
Thanks for clearing that up, I did hear some games didn't have Platinum's and now I know it's only the PSN ones. I am going to imagine getting the Platinum on Wipeout 2048 is going to be a right ole mission.

Technically, Touch My Katamari and Lumines Electronic Symphony don't have "announced" Platinums at this time, either. It's expected in the case of Lumines that it will "appear" once DLC has been released.
Still not seeing Virtua Tennis 4 World Tour on that list of titles.
Lumines has been confirmed to have a platinum by one of the Ubisoft folks.

It's entirely possible someone scrolled down the list to not show the platinum since well...why would you show that when you already know what you need to get a platinum. You can show another trophy on the list.
Nope. Though, unless Amazon decides to be cool and ship early, I don't expect it to show that until Tuesday night. All my other Vita stuff has been shipping from right here in AZ; and most release day delivery items that come from in town don't usually ship until late, the night before.
And here's the confirmation that it has one.
Also, don't read this if you're really into your trophies.
It may not actually be something that needs to be fixed on the PS3 itself- I would think it is something that can be fixed server side, but maybe it's more complicated than we think...

If I buy games on US PSN, and I live in Europe will the multiplayer matches link me with US players (and give me min. 200ms lag) or European players?
US players because you would only be able to play it on your US PSN account anyways. There usually isn't a region restriction on online games though. Typically US players can play with EU players if they want.

So the game will pair me with someone from Europe then? How about a retail version bought in Europe? Going by logic, retail should connect with same version, regardless of PSN account being used.
I believe it'll pair you with whoever it thinks you have the best connection with at the time. I was merely saying that if you buy something on PSN, it is tied to that account. Therefore you will not be playing a US PSN game on a EU account and things like that.
I really have no idea but I can't see it staying like this for long once they get complaints from western PS3/Vita owners.
It's my biggest problem with Vita right now.
My bet is that it's a PS3 firmware issue. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't aware of the issue.

Does anyone know any UK online retailer that is selling the Hori screen protector? I was going to buy it from Amazon but it's now OOS with estimated dispatch 1-3 weeks
Unless there is some serious technical limitation, it should have been there from the start, since this defeats the purpose of an unified network like they are trying to create. If you can't see your friends connected through the Vita, then it's like they are on totally different network.

They probably just need to have the PS3 pull information from another source to get people who are logged in through Vitas.

First it's surgery on launch day plus medical bills, and now when I thought I had a plan to get my beautiful OLED wielding device, I get a $400 bill to fix my car after a tire blew out the same day I found out I needed surgery. Should I take it as a sign to wait? lol.
The problem is there's launch games I actually want for a change compared to most other launches, and I think I rather get The Show (best MLB game ever) on Vita than PS3 for once since it seems like a great game on-the-go and even looks amazing like its console counterpart. That and Unit 13 have me intrigued in March while Hot Shots looks good for launch day and Uncharted would be an awesome rental.
Man, I need to come up with a less expensive hobby.
I still wish Unit 13 had actual competitive MP. They better be working on a portable SOCOM game next and Unit 13 is their intro game to the system.

They need to have Socom go back to it's roots. Socom 1 and 2 campaign. It would be awesome to have a remastered Socom 1 and 2 for the Vita.
Did you play SOCOM 4? It was a legit good game, IMO. The gameplay has just been surpassed so many times, it simply hasn't aged well.

Yea, even a FTB2 type game with dual sticks would be really nice. All I know is that there's a shitload of SOCOM fans that would buy a Vita in a heartbeat just for a SOCOM HD Collection, lol.
Yeah, it won't be released until 2/22. The first edition bundle is the only one scheduled to be released this week on the 15th

FIFA will get 8-9 I reckon, had a go on the demo in Gamestation and it's basically FIFA 11 on 360, but on a handheld. Really, really good. Only problem I had was the camera is too zoomed out so the players all look really small, but I'm sure that can be changed in the options somewhere.
For a moment I thought it was a real score.
