They should just take the Vita, mail it and all of the games back to Sony and go back to playing Saints Row, Skyrim and Skylanders. They'd have more fun.

Not sure what your point is, but those games are awesome. I think some of you are reading hate into a lot of this where there isn't any. Jeff's clearly not blown away with the Vita yet. Doesn't mean he wont be as more games come out...hopefully some that aren't a bunch of lesser versions of console games.

Memory Card 32GB from US for a European customer

I try again.
As you may know, here in Europe, we're not receiving 32GB memory card. Amazon.com doesn't sell this particular item to PAL customer. Is there a way to buy it anyway, possibly not paying it +20%?

Some people suggested me PlanetAxel but it seems that shipping that memory is taking forever. :(

Any alternative?
Thanks!

Videogamesplus.ca sells it. Seeing as they were hacked recently, you may be weary of using them, though.

I'm not - hell I love them a ton so I still buy from them. It sucks what happened, but I'm sure my personal info has been stolen a million times before that already so who cares?

Ooh, UMVSC. I wonder, if I liked X-Men Vs Street Fighter on Saturn.. I would like this too?

I hope they test the online mode.

Virtua Tennis is like 10 mobile games in one and then some, how can someone even compare games like this to games on iOs or whatever, as i type this reply on my iPad i just don't see how that's possible, show me one game, just one with as much content as this game on any app store/market.

They're very impressed with the system, actually. It's some of the games they're not super excited about.

Are you watching the stream?

Are they? I haven't heard them say a single outright positive thing about anything. Some quasi-positive stuff here and there but that's about it.

I think people are just bummed that they're being kind of nonchalant about a brand new console release.
A handheld device released in today's market focused on games for gamers is a great thing for the industry. That the Vita and 3DS still exist as they are now and still focus on the games that they do is a wonderful thing that should be celebrated by gamers.

I think this is just more of a bummer when you compare it to the Kinect release. Everyone at GB was so into doing their super long stream (even if they weren't hot on every game). There was a lot of energy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and talking about future potential and how it can be a great thing for gaming. There was a generally positive and upbeat attitude.

Correction, it's a good thing for core gamers. I don't think it might be a good thing for the industry.

Of course!

And yeah, that's more accurate. The tech is clearly impressive, but man, not one game worth even considering getting outside of Uncharted.

I disagree. I dislike Uncharted and actually have to pick and choose which games I want. I could easily choose 5 or 6 games, but I'm limiting myself. Not even considering Uncharted.

I'd say yes. MvC3 is a really good entry in the vs. series. Controls might mix you up, but once you get accustomed it's really fun.

Is everyone else's FEB still sitting on Not Yet Shipped on Amazon? I thought it would've been shipping soon by now.

Mine is still not yet shipped. I assume like all other release date delivery orders I've had on Amazon that it isn't going to ship until tomorrow since the release date is Wednesday and release date delivery always ships the day before with overnight shipping.

You've summed up my feelings perfectly.

Every new handheld generation we are getting closer and closer to that dream I had as a kid... that's why I'm so excited about Vita. It has amazing potential. And by what I'm seeing it is doing so many things right...

All it needs is games announcements, fingers crossed for E3.

I wish all PSN games would become Vita compatible, The Last Guy would be a perfect game for Vita.

I've seen a lot of people say they're buying Rayman for Vita. I'd like to know why you want the Vita version over the console, or why you'd want both? I ask as a man who Platinum'd the game, mind you.

Yeah, Brad's smirk when Jeff said Wipeout is now available.. as if the Vita raped his daughter or something.

It's really rather pathetic to see them there with the Vita, a huge stack of games, and they are all just sitting there with no energy in the room whatever. Maybe they should stick to something they like?

Reminds me of the Wii live show back when they were all at Gamespot. Just going through the motions.

Are you going by what they're saying the stream?

What do you mean, am I basing my entire opinion on this video? No. But everything in this stream so far has backed up my previous opinions on the software line-up.

For my personal taste it looks absolutely shit. I was hoping there'd be lots of cool games after the E3 reveal to at least tempt me.

Super Stardust is probably the coolest thing I've seen thus far. Have they shown off Lumines yet? After playing the system I will say that they still don't have the ergonomics down pat. I also don't like the fact that every game seems to disable network features the second you start playing the game. I'm sure it saves battery life but I really don't want to see a network connection screen flash up every time I want to check the leaderboards.

EDIT: Lumines fuck yes.

I agree with that. It is one thing if you don't like certain games, that's your opinion and others have and will state otherwise, but at least for the sake of your audience show some enthusiasm. Sell the product a little bit, and sell yourselves a little bit. Get people interested in coming back to your site for your insight on Vita news and games.

As of now why would I go to Giant Bomb for Vita game reviews? They sound genuinely disinterested in handhelds, not just the Vita.

What kind of games are you looking for

There's only a couple of games that disable the network features. By no means "every game".

Lol, it's like they all got their notices or something. I can smell death in that room just by looking at it.

I love that Cobra poster in the back.

I don't have the PS3/X360 version, love 2D art and 60FPS, and for RL reasons play almost exclusively on the go. Easy choice.

I don't think it's a bad thing for the industry at all, I don't see how it could be.

You're not thinking about the cost of development, what the number of units sold needed to make it worth while, the type of investment a developer needs to get into it, how the PlayStation Suite will affect regular Vita development and so forth. Developers could go out of business from investing into the Vita, if developers don't invest into the platform, then that could hurt Sony that weakens their stance in the overall industry. It could hurt the industry in many ways.

I don't know why you guys are complaining, Giantbomb has always been like this (bombcasts are fun though). Especially Jef, who has been annoying me since his Gamespot days. He just looks so uninterested to me.

But Giant Bomb just shat on Uncharted while praising UMvC so I'm not sure how its backing up your previous opinions when you said Uncharted is the only game worth considering.

Jeff seems fine with Lumines atm too.

This guy is just killing it.

"I'm just not seeing the graphics leap from current smartphones."

I've never been enamored with Giant Bomb like a lot of people on GAF but I typically respected them but that statement has to be one of the dumbest things I have heard of late...

I think I saw something about this version having exclusive levels. Good enough for me, at least at a discount!

I got my hands on one at Best Buy today. The buttons are smaller than I expected, but the dual sticks are good, and I'm happy with how it turned out. It reinforced my decision to get one.

The complete lack of launch goggles

Heh, Japan users are now well over a month in and the niggles and issues have been thrown up by a couple of us.

Thing is the machine still seems great and the games are continuing to be pretty good.
It's not perfect, but for what it does it's pretty damned solid.

Not seen the GB thing because i don't particularly listen to the gaming media in any way shape or form outside of a couple of places. If they don't like it, they don't like it. IF that upsets you - get over yourself!

For my personal taste it looks absolutely shit

your personal taste : i'm curious to know what you'd have liked to have seen within the games line up. There's definitely a couple of gaps, but curious to know what was so badly missed that the line up "looks absolutely shit" - which seems a touch harsh

Lumines is incredibly overpriced, but I have to buy it. And finally a game that those of us with big hands dont have to worry about hitting the back-touch while playing since it benefits us to do so.

I've not played the game yet, but hear really good things about it. Also, I always like to have a good platformer on a handheld system (thanks, Mario) and I figure Rayman's particular visual design will look really sharp on the Vita screen.

Also, the game is only £15 as part of a deal on my Amazon order, and the game sounds like fab value for that price.

Really excited to play it.

But the same thing can be said of anything ever.
We better not go PS4 or the next Xbox because the cost of development! Why invest in any new thing ever when you're already making money on the current stuff?
Actually... why are we still making games for anything right now? Development costs might cause some companies to go out of business.

There's always risk involved in everything.
