Statistically speaking, rookie PGs who have a high turnover rate (and yes, I'm acting like Lin is a rookie here given how few minutes he played prior) tend to get better more than those with low turnover rate.

The belief is that TO prone rookie PGs have better court vision and trying to force passes that seem to be there but aren't quite and as they get used to the speed of the game, they realize when to take those chances while lone TO prone rookies don't take chances ever and don't see it.
