Penne just work with literally every sauce or condiment you can throw them into. Some sauce gets on the inside too, making them even more tasty.
Fusilli is the second-best short pasta.
Spaghetti are good with the right sauce, but tagliatelle and fettuccine are much better if you want long pasta.
