Just wow... But how does it compare to the PS3 version? Any words on that?

I think someone asked a few pages ago if the following was possible:

That's too bad, I hope they do a firmware update for this. After all, they're connecting to the same service and the friends are the same.

There are far too many reconnects and disconnects to really have it the way you want, though. Your PS3 friends would probably block you eventually after all the "XXX has signed in" and out messages every 10 minutes or so.

I think the way around is if Sony disabled Notifications for Vita users on PS3. Just have them pop up on the list if they're online and playing on the Vita.

ordered a 1st edition bundle from amazon along with uncharted, hotshots golf and a 32GB card.. should be here tomorrow.

Am Excite.

I went to walmart, target, toys r us and bestbuy and bestbuy was the only one that even had the first edition bundle and they only got enough for their pre-orders.. which looked like about.. 2 units.

Wipeout 2048 is HNNNNNNGGGGG good. That's the only way I can properly express myself about it. With grunts and primal animal noises and a maniacal gleam in my eyes I can't stop drooling. HNNNNGGGG!!

I am really hating myself, because I wasted money last night when I wasn't fully awake. I had completely forgotten that people had not gotten Ys I & II to work on their Vita, and my dumbass bought it on PSN.

I downloaded it on my PS3, and it doesn't even show up as a title you can transfer over. I saw that some people got the game to work on their Vita, but I don't know how this is possible if they dont even give you option to move it.

I can confirm though that Gods Eater Burst does work on the Vita. It went down to $20 from $40 on PSN on yesterday's update, and looks pretty cool.

This is the day I get my Vitamin ! Sony, where is your PS Suite SDK for Vita ? I wanna try writing something for it.

When does Gamestop open ?

whats the best way to find all of the vita stuff on psn? i read earlier in the thread to type vita in search, but that doesn't bring up everything.

Best Buy Canada knows how to sell Vitas. Mine had about 50 free Uncharted bundles at the front. Dear Sony, imagine how many you would have sold of that bundle was standard.

It seems like Sony should have it just for the promotional benefit.

I'm really looking forward to trying out Dracula X Chronicles on the Vita. The ghosting was really bad on my PSP 3000, and the OLED should really make Rondo look sick. :D

Im not sure why theyre doing that either. You sign up for a month, you pay them for that month, you should get your free game since you already paid. The 30 day wait makes sense for the free 3G month because you have to wait until the paid for month has been exhausted -- but the free game? It doesnt make sense.

I cant complain too much though. Its still a free game that I really want. I just have to wait for it now.

It's because if you cancel right away, at&t prorates your usage and refunds the rest. What would stop people from signing up, get their game and then cancel to get their money back?

I should be getting my FEB by the end of today-I'm going to swing by Gamestop and pick up a game or two-guys is Marvel vs Capcom 3 any good on vita? I used to play the regular version on ps3...

anyways what games should i be looking at?

Physical games load slightly faster, however. Uncharted gains a good 4-5 seconds when played from the retail card as opposed to the download version.

I suppose it's pretty minor, but it's something to consider.

While that's kind of a bummer, I really hate physical media now so I can deal with slightly longer load times. Although that seems really weird.

Initial impressions of my girlfriend's VITA: really bad packaging.

I was expecting something at least as good as a Sony Ericsson phone.

Has anybody activated the ATT 3G plan yet?

I dont see anything regarding the free month of service after the one paid month. It does mention the free game 30 days after activation however.

Congrats to the others who got their Vita's today

Everyone else waiting on the official launch, Stay Strong!

So for 3G usage, I sign up, enter my credit card, and then if I use it that month it charges me $15, but if I don't use it nothing happens. Right?

So if I decide I need it one month I just turn it on, use it, and get charged the $15.

I don't want to get all Figboy where people think I'm a viral marketer, but Escape Plan is a slick package. Each level spans anywhere from 10 seconds up to 45 seconds so far. You can earn up to 3 stars depending on how many "gestures" you use and how quickly you complete a stage. All gameplay is touchscreen, with the exception of zooming in and out using the analog sticks. When you 2-star a level, you will want to replay it to get that third star.

Regarding length, it's hard to tell how much depth there is. There are a total of 234 stars to earn and I have 35 already. Levels are broken up into sections. The first section had 10 levels, the second had 9. Six other sections are locked behind Polaroid pictures with lock symbols on them.

The DLC potential here is endless. If the puzzles remain interesting and hilarious like they have been, I could easily throw down an extra 10 bucks for new content.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Purchase confirmed. Thank you

and I'll ask again just in case anyone knows, how is Target with their delivery time? I'm hoping to buy my vita from there

Write-once memory tends to be faster than rewritable memory.

I have speculated until now that the reason for the proprietary memory format was to maintain a certain level of performance to closely match physical media. Not sure if that's the case, though.

Wife surprised me with a Vita for Valentine's day. Didn't even ask for one.

So, how's the future look for this thing? I would hate to get invested in a platform with unhealthy support from 3rd parties due to sales.

You're already invested. Even if it fails, there's no reason NOT to enjoy what's already being released.

The Japanese Vita developers cited 2 reasons: consistent performance and security.

In the long run? Who knows. It's short term future is looking great, however.

Yeah, makes sense.

Big props to Brettchalupa for mailing me his AR cards. I'll scan and post them for other import buyers that need the AR cards for the free apps coming next week.

I'm waivering on if I want to wait the month to get SSD with the DLC.

If anyone wants to get the voucher off me I'd give it up for $10.

Also, my FEB is out for delivery!

Like PS3 it'll probably be a slow-but-steady increase in real third party support. But with the way PSP turned out in Japan, I really don't see major developers like Square Enix and Capcom just ignoring its potential entirely. Now that the thing is actually out worldwide, I think we'll start getting some announcements that matter.

is ridge racer delayed? there have been rumors going around and i was planning on getting this game soon
It's looking like it might be.

Honestly, that doesn't seem like a bad thing. Perhaps they'll actually polish up the game and add content to it. The JP version was simply unacceptable for a retail game and I'm hoping they've reconsidered their stance on it and are beefing up the US version.

It's doomed.

Australian retailers aren't stocking the console, Japanese developers are jumping ship and switching all games to the 3DS, and you have insane week one sales on everything in the US.
Dooooooooooomed.

It will be fine. And you're already invested... you have the console.
