So I applied for an exchange at amazon.
I guess the way it works is I have to send this back to them or they'll charge me for the replacement Vita.

But the thing is, the replacement Vita is scheduled for actual release date, which isn't until the 22nd. I got mine early. So if I return it now, I won't even be shipped the replacement until the 22nd at the earliest. So not only do I lose whatever I had with my Vita, but I'll go like a week without one.

Also, since it's new hardware, I think I have to erase my games? HSG is now linked to this Vita, so I have to wipe it (and my save file since it's tied to the game) before I can like get trophies and stuff like that on the new Vita.

And I'll have to buy screen protectors again. This sucks.

I have the worst luck with electronics.

Did you use the official Sony protectors? I have an extra pack of those I could send you if you want them.

Does Amazon do replacements?
We can only replace the exact item and version you ordered, and you are responsible to return the damaged item within 30 days. If you want to exchange for a different item, you will need to return the item and place a new order.

Isn't the game data tied to your hardware? I read a while back about used games that you have to delete the game data because it's not tied to your specific Vita. So my copy of HSG would be associated with my current Vita, not the replacement one?

And I guess I have to deactivate this one. I'll need to find out how to do that.

Yes, you need to go into your account (preferably on a PC) and activate it so it kicks in automatically and then you get the promo for SSD. Don't be afraid to call AT&T incase you can't find it. They were very good with me on my call. I did it just as a precaution so they could see what I'm doing as I'm doing it and the rep confirmed my stuff went through as I did it. You need to activate the promo for you to get the free game.

You can earn PTZ by watching videos, taking surveys, buying stuff, and other things. When you go to the store you can apply a certain number of PTZ to a product to lower the price. I just watched a few of these videos for the easy PTZ then ordered my Vita and Uncharted:

I've found that the best way to grind up points for the discounts is to watch "Behind The Seams" videos in the video section (and ignore/mute them while they play b/c theyre horrible) for 300 points and you can get points to apply quickly/easily.

But even if I could choose, Amazon.ca doesn't have release day delivery. The Canadian version of Amazon kind of sucks.

I finally got a look in person at the Vita game cases and memory cards earlier tonight....holy CRAP you guys weren't kidding about how small everything is!! It's all so tiny! I was not prepared for that at all! Sitting here looking at the pictures people were posting of the stuff I thought "Pffft it all looks almost normal sized." I was dead wrong. I actually love the tinier size of the game cases! I read earlier in the thread some calling them "cute" and that's the best word I can come up with for them. I am still blown away at how damn small the memory cards are! I got very wide eyed at the sight of that..hooo boy I hope I don't drop the thing on accident when I go to put it in my Vita on Wednesday!!

Speaking of memory cards, I ordered a 32GB card on Amazon today. Hasn't shipped yet but is supposed to arrive on Tuesday, the day before the Vita's official launch. I looked all over locally here in the South suburbs of Chicago and it's sold out..EVERYWHERE. My GS had 4, 8, and 16s but sold out of 32s when I went to get Tales Of The Abyss 3DS on Wednesday. The store I was at tonight only had 4s and 8s. After looking around all week my thought was I better just get it from Amazon now while they're still in stock! I plan to get a 2nd 32 GB card down the line but I just wanted to save myself a lot of hassle and get this one now while they're still available. If you're even remotely thinking 8 or 16 GB won't be enough space for you, and that you'll need more eventualy I'd just order a 32GB one now while you still can. With how small these memory cards are I sure hope I won't have to take that 32GB card out of my Vita anytime soon!

Just thought to add my thoughts on those Vita game cases and memory cards. Pictures will not prepare you for the actual thing in person, that's for sure.

Was going to get this game anyway as I am a sucker for platformers and for $7.99 it is a no brainer, but it is great to see positive reviews like the above. Sounds like the touch controls are well done and unobtrusive.

Fantastic! About a Blob was one of my favourite PSN games when it was released (still is actually) so will definitely be grabbing this. Does it have a Euro rease date yet?

That's strange. The product page said that all pre-orders placed four business days prior to release are shipped within 24 hours of the release date. It doesn't say that now of course, but it did when I ordered it.
