I've said it time and time again but I really think Chelsea's problem exists at a coaching level, not primarily a squad one. When has Roberto Di Matteo shown he can coach a top premier league side successfully?

I look at what Steve Clarke did to us and I can immediately see a flaw in Chelsea's plan.

See they get the tag and they lose the commitment!

:P

I will never stop the Ståle gifs!

Keep the gifs coming, I think I might need to go out soon. My stream's also not very good quality :)

Reading through the thread didn't realise it was your Birthday. Happy wishes man.

Thanks! Was yesterday but I will take it, was lucky enough not to have Chelsea play on it. ;)

Weidenfeller - Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer - S. Bender, Kehl - Blaszczykowski, Lewandowski, Großkreutz - Barrios

Oh man, not really happy about this one. I'm happy for Barrios but I would have played with Gündogan or Leitner on the 10. Or at least Leitner for Kehl then. Let's get this done.

Chelsea play like they're counter attacking when they're not. They just punt those through balls and hope for the best.

Only 21 points off first place.

Huge achievement.
That's a numpty assessment.

Our style of football is vastly better under Clarke than it was under Hodgson and his back room staff. Considering we were in 12th position when Clarke came in, it is a huge improvement.

But continue with your ignorance.

Wow terrible shot by that Birmingham player but... Also so bad defending again.

The Napoli match is going to be a mess, they are doing the same shit.

Not sure about that. How can you know? Also, AVB does do alot of the coaching himself.

Chelsea need a manager who can organise them into a side that doesn't get beaten easily, knows how to get the best out of Torres and can win the Champions League with a sub standard squad.

Rafa I'll take my payment through Paypal.

Regards the game, Birmingham impressed me a lot. Happy for Hughton and co.

The first thing Chelsea need to do is get over the past. All the "Jose Mourinho" chants, "Old Guard", owners interference...that undermines any and every manager.

AVB definitely is at fault, but only 50% of the problem is him. They can change the manager but unless they change everything else, the same problem will come up again and again.

Drogba was every bit as bad as Torres.

Chelsea could really do with another quality striker. They need a good winger and midfielder too.

Herta are the worst team of the league at home, you guys are the best away. This will be interesting haha.

I agree they need a good winger, but I think a lot of their striking problems could be solved by playing Sturridge in the centre as their main striker.

Like you say, Drogba wasn't very good today and neither was Torres, Sturridge has shown he can perform to the level Chelsea expect.

Lukaku cannot be registered to play for another team this season as he already played for Anderlecht and Chelsea which is why we haven't loaned him out.

Hence the "straight away" comment, he played for you in a competitive match hence not being able to be sent out on loan? Which is a silly mistake because he has barely played for you and if anything it has slowed his development down, he's come from a club where he is first choice to a team where he barely gets on the pitch. Has he even scored a goal yet?

Sturridge could do well in a central position but Chelsea would still struggle to create chances. Mata needs to be moved away from the wing and into a more central role where he can influence the game more.

A quality winger is a must for Chelsea.
