Changed my Amazon postage to send everything as it becomes available, just in case :p

It, surprisingly, only cost an extra £4 on top of what I was already paying for first class delivery.

Head´s up to anyone who order those 6£ Ubisoft games in Amazon.co.uk, my order for Lumines and Rayman has been dispatched. This is turning out to be the bargain of the year.

Mine still says it won't dispatch until tomorrow, but it's good to know that they're honouring them!

I hope the Vita games hit the PSN store via PS3 tonight so I can set a few to download ahead of my Vita's arrival Wednesday (come on Amazon!)

I am tempted to do the Target deal today after work but I really don't like the idea of carrying carts with me every day. But...free..game. Decisions.

A few questions:

So are we 100% sure that the US 3G SKU is locked to AT&T?

Is AT&T one of those benevolent (lol) operators that offer to unlock their devices down the road for a fee?

Is Amazon's "Launch Bundle" the best deal for a 3G Vita right now?

Yes, launch Vitas are locked to AT&T in US just like earlier iOS devices. Japan Vita is also locked to DoCoMo I think. Sony said they will look into unlocking these Vitas later. Meanwhile EU and Asia Vitas are not locked.

Although I still think it's fucking stupid not allowing USB charging without shutting the device off.
I've tried this multiple times now - it definitely charges when I plug it into my PC USB (no indicators are shown, but the battery recharges if you leave it plugged).

So does anyone have any experience with LockerZ? Just wondering if it's safe to return my 16gb card. The 4gb from Target deal should be ok till I get the 32gb from Lockerz.

I really hate how Sony created two classes of Vita owners by making 99.99% of us wait a week so the FEB don't feel used.

I greatly dislike how this is becoming a trend.

Oh well. Under 48 hours, and there shall be a Vita on my doorstep. (I hope they don't require a signature)

Just want to throw out there for anyone still looking for games, Touch My Katamari plays VERY well on the Vita. If the Katamari games are something you enjoy, having one this smooth and enjoyable in your pocket is worth the $30.

Indeed.

Katamari is gorgeous on that display, I think it is the most solid game I've played yet.

This dude is definitely impressed with the OS. He seems to think Sony will use the Vita OS to go all by themselves in the mobile space a la amazon and apple. The problem is he's talking about Sony and they move slow as hell. Another problem is giving up the android market place and its thousands of apps. I don't think it'll happen, and if it does, I still expect Sony to have Windows and Android tablets, phones, and PCs available next to their own OS. Either way, best of luck to them.

Sony hinted that the Vita stack is designed to be portable to other OSes. So they may be able to bring a consistent experience and software library across platforms.

I'll be at class. If they do, I'll kill somebody, but usually they just leave it at my doorstep behind a bush. lol

My wife has been instructed to sit on the front porch when she hears the UPS truck. Hopefully that will stop the asshole UPS driver from Peyton Manning-ing my Vita onto the front porch from the street.

Is there still ambiguity around Mortal Kombat's release date or is it really releasing on the 28th? If it is I'll forgo picking up UMvC3 and get it instead.

My experience with lockerz iz thiz:

Order 32Gb mc, Uncharted GA and VT4, receive 32GB mc, can't find out where my games are because you cant call lockerz and they dont return emails.

At least they only charged me the $75 for the mc. Now off to buy those games.

Any word on when/if Zen Pinball will be hitting the downloadable store? I wanted to love it on 3DS, but not being able to see much of anything clearly is a real downer when it comes to...well, most anything.

Played a couple hours of Uncharted last night. Was kind of iffy about it at first but it has sucked me in and I'm really enjoying it now.
I played it with the sound hooked up my stereo, sounded fantastic.

Was it estimated to dispatch tomorrow? Did you have it set to dispatch as one package?

It didn't have a dispatch estimate, just a delivery estimate of 22nd. I've had all the conformation that its dispatched today and delivery estimate has been reset for 21st.

Its all in one package, the WiFi Vita, 8GB card, Wipeout 2048, Rayman Origins and Everybodys Golf.

Incidently, I still have two more items which are still stuck on "Not Yet Despatched", which are Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and the Thrustmaster VIP case. They're both seperate packages but there's been no movement on either yet.

Finally got to play with one. I was expecting to be disappointed since I had pretty high expectations but damn, this thing is awesome as i hoped. Some games really look like Ps3 titles. I think Virtua Tennis even looked better then the ps3 version.

My impressions on a couple of games.

Virtua Tennis:
Absolutely amazing, perfect game for an handheld and the graphics were stunning. Didn't care much for the touch controls.

Motorstorm RC:
Ok this one looked pretty bad. Flat lighting, extremely bad textures no shadows. Psp titles look better then this. No idea whats going on with this title. Hopefully its just a really old version.

Wipeout:
Easily the best game i tried. Gameplay is true to the wipeout formula and the graphics looked as good as wipeout HD. My only complaint is that due to the small screen it was kinda had to see what was going on sometimes. I'm sure its easier once u get used to it.

Fifa 2012:
Another game that looks as good as the PS3 version. It didn't seem to have the impact engine which was kinda disappointing. The lack of the r2 and l2 meant I didn't know how to tell players to run through and do skill moves.

Hustle Kings:
One more that looks as good as the ps3 version. The touch controls really helped to take aim here, definitely easier then using the sticks. The framerate wasn't as good as the ps3 version though.

Gravity Rush:
This one was a relieve for me, it was one of the ugliest games in screenshots due to sub native resolution, but I'm glad that when ur actually playing its not something you notice. I mean u do notice its less sharper but it was never distracting.

Unfortunately this demo unit didn't have uncharted, but it did have a few more games I didn't try. I have to go back later, the little kids were getting annoyed that a grown man didn't let them play. I even had to punch one of them, it got kinda ugly.

Anyway, I must admit that I was hoping to come out disappointed, I really didn't want to buy one, but it looks like I'm gonna have to now :-\
