Exactly! But the show goes out of it's way to make it an accident bu making the flowers blow out of her hand and Rei jumping for them.... Then the whole police investigation stuff to disprove the suicide theory.

I did find that kind of jarring as well,
also the fact that they make an effort in trying to turn Rei into a manly character in the eyes of Nanako; a pseudo-justification for it not being a homosexual relationship

The whole of Episodes 12's ending sequence had me on the edge of my seat. So well done!
Yeah, I was pretty surprised as well. I really liked the explanations given in this episode about what's going on and why.

I'm on episode 4 right now. I'm trying to like this show but my god there is a ton of nonsensical blabbering in it and it gets boring real quick. At least some parts where entertaining, such as when Araragi beat up that elementary school girl lol.

I'm wondering if the creators of the show every, really, decided what this shows tone would be and who it's target audience would include. Is it -
A) A fluffy, light-hearted show about about the friendship between three young girls who occasionally fight in giant robots. As the show is kind of silly and dumb it doesn't really matter how believable or fleshed out the characters are.
Audience: Males and females of all ages.
B) A more serious show about the friendship between three girls amidst the backdrop of an intergalactic war. As this is a serious show the girls have to have back-story and their characters have to be fleshed out in a believable way.
Audience: 12 15 year olds.
C) A strange mix of A and B, but with enough creepy and shoehorned in fanservice scenes to give the otaku something to draw doujins about.
Audience: oaku.
