I wanted to buy either Virtual Tennis 4 or UMVC3 really badly but I decided to hold off because I want NG Sigma Plus.

My next purchase will be either VT4 or UMVC3, I've never been big into either of those games, not because I don't like them but rather because I never buy them. Any advice on either of em?

UMvC3 is a fun fighting game with a pretty low learning curve. If you have any interest in the characters or fighting games, it's a great game and an excellent port on the Vita. If you don't plan on going online with it though, I'd not recommend it as a purely offline game; it's very lacking in single player content.

No idea on VT4 but it looks great and seems like it'd be fun as well.

UMvC3 looks great on the Vita. Might have a bigger barrier of entry though than Virtua Tennis.

I picked up VT4 because I never tried it before and wanted a good sports game on the go.

I'll say this, it helps a lot if you like tennis to begin with, because the emphasis is on the sport, and the famous players as well as the different styles that the players employ.

A game like Hot Shots still retains the elements of golf that make the game deep, but doesn't intimidate non-hardcore fans who don't know the name of the pro's or name of exact locations.

So in that respect, know that your buying a serious persons tennis game, with great gameplay and a lot of depth to explore in terms of mechanics.

UMVC3 is just awesome, and any fan of the fighting genre knows what they're getting into when they purchase that game. Fast, fluid, combo and multi character fights with excellent graphics.

Two very different games, I'd recommend both (obviously you can pick one up later down the line), so the question really is sports or a fighter?

Just tested it -

edit - I misspoke.. what I meant to say is that you can't back up saves and games separately.. which was already covered above. PSP saves, however, can be backed up separately.

If it is a digital game, you need to back up the whole game.

If it is a disc game, the save data shows up in the applications list as a "game".

Virtua Tennis 4 is a fantastic game, a perfect port of the console versions from last year with some new content added to it. The framerate is a little iffy during closeups on character models but it looks amazing otherwise. If you've never played a VT game, they're very simple to get in to. This one is the most RPG-ish that a VT game has ever been, with a career mode where you make your own dude and level him up as you travel around the world tennis-ing.

UMVC3 is great too, but I imagine it's more fun if you're already a fan of the series or of fighting games. I've always liked them, and it's a good version of the game.

Small. Surprisingly grippy. Seems like a better effort than my Tablet S one, but I'll have to wait to get my Vita until I can say for sure.

I can't imagine what I'd ever use the Line Out for, as my iPod dock does all my muzicks.

Line out on my cradle removes all volume function from my vita. No idea how to change this. But if you dont need the line out then the cradle is very nice and sits the vita at a good angle.

Just called my Gamestop to see if I'll be able to grab my Vita tomorrow night. They confirmed that they're having a "courtesy pick-up" event for those that pre-ordered to swing by and grab their system, games, and accessories. That's good news for me, as I wasn't going to be able to get Wednesday before leaving town, which means I'd have been Vita free until Sunday. Now I can have it with me when I travel.

Now to be sure I can take advantage of the other deals out there so I'm well stocked on games, memory card, and a case.

Lockerz is best, but it required legwork/watching those silly videos. For just Uncharted: GA, Toys R Us has it for 40 right now.

If Lockerz isn't really an option, I'd honestly recommend getting the 3G Launch Bundle just for the option.

I took advantage of the Toys R Us deals yesterday and scored Uncharted for $40, Lumines, FIFA, and an 8GB card and got 2 $20 gift cards (which I then used on toysrus.com towards SSX PS3 which was already on sale for $44.99). I bought the Thrustmaster VIP VITA case from the UK. Picked up a Sony game/memory card storage case. I have ordered Rayman, Hot Shots Golf, and MLB from Amazon along with some screen savers.

I traded a ton of stuff in (extra PS3, DSiXL, a few old games) and also sold a valuable item on eBay to finance it all. Good times!

I don't think there's another FW update. 1.60 is the latest version. You'll probably get new apps this week but no new FW.

A very light press does not activate them, but I find that I do not need to apply any additional pressure than I normally would. I certainly haven't had any issues pulling up aiming mode in Uncharted during normal use, for instance. If I just feather the button, however, it doesn't necessarily trigger.

With prime and release date shipping, it's almost always UPS or Ontrac standard overnight. It shouldn't post as shipping soon until later tonight, and shouldnt ship until tomorrow by 1-5pm in your timezone.

very easy, just copy your persona 3 save file to the designated vita folder on your pc. I think it's

document/ps vita/psavedata

when you connect your vita to your pc, you should be able to see your persona 3 save data and just copy it to your vita.
