Spoke with a cool guy on Amazon support. He verified Ninja Gaiden and Virtua Tennis aren't in the promotion but noted he'd send the information along that people are wanting those games added.

We can only hope. I'll buy in an instant if VT4 gets added.

I'm gonna watch this sale then. Thanks for the heads up.

I just jumped on Lumines, BlazBlue, and Fifa. Originally I didn't really want Fifa that much, but all the positive talk about it really got to me. Plus I really want to try out a good implementation of the back touch panel.

Hey, at least you guys aren't asked to pay 50€ for Hot Shots Golf. We get close to zero gaming deals in Germany. Except for that super sweet Vita launch party in Berlin with shuttle busses not even CLOSE to where I live.

Yep, the reason why I'll make a US account and use US PSN cards to buy games. That way HSG costs us 25€ from PSN :)

Looks like my issue is known.

Q3: My screen freezes up after awakening while charging.

A3: Also an error in the firmware. To avoid this, Switch your PSV to off while charging, OR unplug your charger before awakening the PSV from its sleep. Additionally, if you are already affected by the problem, press and hold the POWER button for 15 seconds, and it will cycle you to the main menu screen.

The PSP got me into podcasts as well. Now that I can play games while listening to music/podcasts, an rss feed app is really needed. I am currently listening to the latest Joystiq podcast while playing Virtua Tennis 4.

That's exactly the feature I wanted from the Vita. Still pondering if I am getting the 3g or Wifi only version.

I jumped on Amazon chat and raised concerns about them not including VT4, Katamari, and Ninja Gaiden.

Response: "I am sorry right now there is no information if these games will be added you'll be able to see that on the website. I am also forwarding your request to our specialized team so may be they'll add these games in the deal."

Nice!

Does anyone know if the box for the 3G + 8Gb card launch bundle is bigger than the regular WiFi edition? I'm importing it so that makes a big difference!

Isn't the Unit 13 demo out today? Anyone playing it?

edit: nvm seems to come out tomorrow

I hope to hear what people think but I figured it'd come out a few hours from now with the normal PS update time. The reviews have me interested with most of the points being docked for no campaign or competitive MP. I'm a little mad that they didn't use their MP expertise to make a kickass MP game for the Vita's launch window. I kind of view Unit 13 as Zipper's prototype for the system so they make a smaller scaled game to get the system down and what works and what doesn't so that their next game will be that much better which would hopefully be a new SOCOM game in the FTB series.

Did the same, maybe if enough of us do it they will add it. :P

Gahh. Hurry uuuup Amazon UK. I hope my indecision and about the delivery method didn't kick me to the back of queue, I was changing it a lot until a couple of days ago.

So how long till Team Meat ports over Super Meat Boy...

Wishful thinking? :/

Edit: Already have it on XBLA + Steam, but will triple-dip.

Ultimate Marvel is the more accessible one.

Although it has a very limited single player experience. So if you're no good (like me), you'll just get beat over and over again online - which isn't that fun.

BlazBlue has an extensive single player experience that you can get through even if you suck (like me).

Well, when the PSP PSN game gets revealed in a couple days that enables loading of HBL on Vita you'll have a small window of chance to use it for such.
Something I'm debating.

Dark10x, just wait till Wednesday and you'll probably be able to have your emulators (as long as that's when the HBL announcement happens). I can't wait to see SNES games on it.

What are you two talking about, what did I miss? :O

I've sent Amazon an email inquiring about why all three of my related Vita orders now show delivery estimates of February 27th. Now, if I were in the back of the line for the actual unit that would be fine I suppose, but it's odd that all three orders changed dates to the 27th. I can't imagine both the screen protector and case would conveniently fall to the same date. I'm wondering if the shipping system isn't recognizing that I'm a Prime member and have two-day shipping (even though my order clearly shows them as having that shipping option).

We'll see.

That's weird. I usually leave it by my bed overnight without putting it on the charger, and the battery doesn't go down at all.

I hope that's how it works for me, because I play Lumines (PSP) nearly every night to fall asleep and then just sleep the device and play it again the next night. If doing so hangs the Vita, I'll be pissed.

Thank you! Ordered Uncharted, Rayman, and Hot Shots. I was going to buy Rayman, Lumines and Hot Shots on PSP, but this will work out better since now I can get money for Rayman, HSG, and Uncharted when I tire of them.

Precisely the reason I went with BlazBlue. I can care less about the competitive side since I would get my butt handed to me. So the depth of the story mode and options in BlazBlue got me to choose it over UMVC.

Also I had a $40 Gift Card from Amazon that I was using for the Hori Screen protector and HSG, but I canceled that and pre order VT4, and then purchased:

Uncharted
Blazblue
Hot Shots Golf.

Worked out nicely!

Had my order set and untouched since just after E3 back in June. Still not dispatched despite saying "19 Feb 2012 - 20 Feb 2012 as the dispatch estimate". Friend who ordered at the same time has had his posted now... though seen as the memory card was ordered a few weeks ago because of the free offer that hasn't, so he won't be able to use the Vita for much.

Since it's so close, I'd go ahead and get in a live chat with one of their CS reps. I'd be afraid their email CS reps might take so long, you'll miss any available units. I've had many live chats with Amazon customer service, and they've always been very helpful. It's worth a shot, if you haven't already.

Did my part!

Dheeraj:Thank you for providing me the link.
I've checked the games and I do understand your concern bout the games you're requesting. However unfortunately, the games that are included in the promotion list are the only eligible games.

Me:I was wondering if maybe you could forward this request to someone who has a hand in choosing the games? I'm not upset or angry, just throwing a suggestion. Thanks for your help!

Dheeraj:Sure. Please allow me a moment.

Me:Okay

Dheeraj:Thank you for being on hold. Thank you for your suggestion, I wouldn't be able to guarantee you that it would be implemented as the promotion on few products are released by the manufacturer of that item.

I would surely pass your message along to the appropriate people here at Amazon.com.
We value customer feedback such as yours as it helps us continue to improve the service and selection we provide.

Me:Thank you for the forward, I understand that there are certain deals with certain companies and such. Thanks again!

Doesn't BlazBlue have more single player content though? Either way you'd get your ass handed to you by competitive players.

Not only that, but the tutorials in Blazblue are much, much better and explain everything in pieces. I don't think Marvel is necessarily "easier" to play, either, since they're both 4 button fighters and have similar styles of play. The only thing more accessible about Marvel is the character familiarity and being able to use most of the basic specials out of the gate, but other than that there's not much else.

What is BlazBlue singleplayer like?

Is it like arcade-like, beat random player, get a quote at the end?

I'm hoping for something like Mortal Kombat, but that's stretching it.

Canceled my Amazon order for Uncharted, HSG, and Rayman. Will instead wait to see if they add Tennis. Was only doing Uncharted because there was nothing else I wanted.

This is a good point.
