Then again, it's one of those shows that I'd imagine it would be really difficult to "spoil".

I can safely say I will never be watching the show uncensored. Not that I'm really in a rush to watch it again.

Come on! I can understand the "forgettable" part, but I think neither examples could be considered as what I think is bad, from what I remember listening of those. It depends on the work at hand...
See, CCS and Angelic Layer are the odd ones out to me.
You should all watch/read X sometime. Really, you should - not only is the manga beautiful and the TV anime really very good indeed (skip the film, which is just an excuse for lavishly animated fights and gore - I'm sure cosmic would love it!), but it's much more what I think of when I think of CLAMP - glorious twists to make you suffer OH SO GOOD.
These are the people who made a magical girlfriend story (Chobits) where (ENDING SPOILERS)
you screw your robot girlfriend and SHE DIES, because her creator thought no-one should fall in love with someone who isn't human so placed her reset switch in her vagina)
the Princess they are sent to rescue begs the Magic Knights to murder her, which they are eventually forced to do before being dumped back on Earth
If in doubt with CLAMP, expect someone to lose their eye in a very, VERY significant and probably gory way.
Then it's a good thing I never actually said his music was bad.

I heard the manga is unfinished and has a cliffhanger, it this true? I remeber that I read the first 10 volumes and liked the first movie but I stopped reading and watching it for some reason.

More comedy, more
, more moe chicks everywere (all the other schools have them too!) and more impressive/exciting space-piloting scenes in CGI. Even if there awaits me 21 more episodes of nothing more than that, I'd go away from this show fairly satisfied.

the nicer side of the "Big Four". Normally quite aloof, they actively make an effort to get the students motivated for participating in the aforementioned Astroball. Turns out there's a big tournament amongst all the "Foundation"'s schools, of which the Stellvia is one. They promise that the student who does the best at Astroball gets a place in the "Great Mission" (to save humanity), though how the two are connected is never explained (nor indeed, what the "Great Mission" actually entails)

Not everyone receives such a budget either.
So I just dominated my way through all 26 episodes of Nadesico and it's counterpart theatrical film in 2 days, and with it being around 10 years since I last saw the crew of the Nadesico go around their antics and whatnot, I decided to kick back and head down nostalgia lane.
And I'm still fond of it, despite the ending of both the film and series not being quite up to par with the high standard the show definitely provides. The characters, the designs, the comedy and the quirks - I'm pretty sure I haven't watched anything in quite the same league; although Lagrange is quickly becoming a favourite of mine in quite a similar vein. Being hungover for the majority of my viewings has made my brain unable to process some aspects of both the film and show, but for what it's worth, the mindfuck parts of the show are not even the most important. It's about the characters, and that is where Nadesico definitely excels.
I would love to see the story of Nadesico continue, as the ending of the film definitely left the door open for more, but I doubt it's going to happen. I can definitely dream though.
