I'm guessing Nintendo thought the DS would remain alive longer than it was after the 3DS released. That and they wanted to sell to younger gamers who have yet to graduate to 3DS.

Pokemon DS Micro Bundle.

Thats right, when GBA micro released, there were no new games that were in the pipeline for GBA. DS Micro has Pokemon BW2. Nintendo you crafty bastards!!

When this game comes out, it'll still sell 3DSes, I'm positive. Maybe not as much as if B2W2 were on the 3DS, but still.

There will probably be B2W2 + 3DS bundle deals. And B2W2 3DSes. Parents will buy their kids B2W2 and a new DS, and that new DS will most likely be the 3DS (especially if, by the time it comes out here, DSis are in limited stock).

What happened to putting a few years between releases? Even the remakes were two years after RuSa. Now it's like they've got to release a pair every spring. Oversaturation. I never thought I'd get tired of Pokemon, but I didn't even play B/W cause it had only been a few months since I'd put down Hg/Ss.

And I'm really confused as to why they're putting another set on the DS. B/W should have been on 3DS in the first place. I guess 150 million DS owners is not something to just bat an eye at, but whatever.

These games are almost two years after Black and White duder. The GBA games weren't any better about "oversaturation" but the GBA had a short life and the DS has had a long one.

I couldn't care less about the DS thing. It kinda makes sense, they want to sell more Pokemon games than push the console further into the stratosphere, it's doing pretty good already and they can always make a Pokemon for it later when the install base is even greater. I see the points against that reasoning, but keep in mind this was probably all planned out very long ago.

But 2?? Does this mean it wont have all the content and story of the original games and instead be a continuation of them? Does this mean I have to play B/W first now??

First they make third games that improve upon the first two, punishing those who weren’t patient for the best version… now they’re punishing those of us who waited for a third version??
