Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 confirmed for Nintendo DS

What I like about this especially?

This increases the chances of the Nobunaga's Ambition cross-over coming over here, since obviously the DS still has a bit of viability left in it. NO EXCUSES, NOA!

Everyone expected Pokemon Gray... this is basically it but totally expanded (i hope..) and now 2 choices. But yeh, wish there was some 3d features. Same B/W engine or...??
 
Man, I'm stoked. This is going to be awesome.

Can't believe I'm going to have nine mainline DS Pokémon games sitting side by side in my shelf.
 
Don't own a 3DS so that part of the announcement doesn't really annoy me. Very curious what this game is though. Maybe Unova again but with a brand new story? B/W 2 with a new story probably would feel a bit more fresh (part of the reason I never get into the "third pillar" games is it just feels monotonous to me to essentially play the same game twice with just a few tweaks), but not really sure I want to go through Unova again so soon after playing B/W. Wouldn't mind seeing a game that involved all 5 regions, but not sure if they can pull that off on a DS, and even if they did, would they really call that B/W 2?
 
If the games do include Hoenn in some way as another region, I would really like to see how this works out. Since these are direct sequels, gamefreak does not have to spend time on creating new pokemon outside the changed forms. This leaves them with lots of time to focus on other mechanics and the one or two regions and really flesh them out.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said that I wasn't expecting an announcement. I merely said that the new film poster didn't confirm anything.

Huh... well... huh. I was wrong about it being 3DS, which I figured was kinda possible, but I certainly wasn't expecting this. Really hope details come quickly so we can see what exactly this is (thankfully as it's coming out so quickly they'll probably come rather rapidly.)

Oh, and they flipped the cover legendaries, so that's interesting. Wonder if we'll end up stealing it away from N or something?

no new monster i assume? what a let down, i wanted to get gray out of the way as soon as possible to have pokemon 3DS ready in a year or two. but this is seriously disappointing. kind of a big release on a dead platform.
 
So, I never did play my copy of Black because I thought by the time I get around to it, Grey would show up. Since that's not happening...

I think its a damn fine time to play Black. I need to buy an XL though just because I fucking can. Time to get rid of the original DSi and upgrade so I can play original DS games all big and shit. That and BW2 is going to look best on it anyway.

EDIT: Holy fuck, only $25?! Never fucking mind, I would sooner give it away then get it for that. :/ Time to figure out another option.

I really hope Hoenn is not in these new games. I want it to get its own remake for 3DS.

That's also dependent on the size of the team making this. For all we know, this could be a production by the third-version team, while another team is working on Gen VI (which means either RSE remakes or the real next mainline game, new region and what-not). That company deserves to be a little less secretive, I'd think, but then I'm just showing my true desires for Masuda and company to spill the beans even more.
 
Cool! Just play it on your ds lite, like a man. It will probably give you a longer play session before you have to charge it up again anyways.

damn i hope they don't do the GBA remakes and go straight to a proper 3DS one with new monsters.
