Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 confirmed for Nintendo DS

Press select when entering the game, should force it to play at natural res. (Not that I've noticed games looking significantly on the 3DS anyway)

So then they look small. For text-heavy games, I'd rather have them big and blurry so my eyes don't get tired.

Or big and native res. Where's that DSiXL price drop?

EDIT: I should stop complaining. The game will be playable. Good enough for me.

Pokemon Rumble Blast is only $35. HG/SS cost more than Black/White.

RB may be $35 now but it was announced and pretty sure launched for $39.99. Besides HG/SS had an accessory! Fr/Lg/E had accessories to and cost $5 extra then the normal versions!

MORE POKEMON MORE WIFI STUFF MORE EVOLUTIONS MORE POKE BALLS MORE GAME FREAK MORE DS

Many of which players outside of japan'll never see >.>

-DS not 3DS
-Black and White 2

....Why?

Wynaut?

So cute!

I'm kind of lost. Would people actually prefer Grey over this? Seems like the best of both worlds this way, especially if we do end up in a new/revisited region.

Can we do something interesting with this milked-beyond-belief series or just retire it for a while?

You could always just sit out the next few gens and then see how you feel. It accomplishes the same thing for you as retiring the series for a while, except the millions of us who still love Pokemon don't have to go without.

- Much more of a market in DS right now. Plus this way no new tech needs to be made so a full sequel can be made faster.
- Because why the fuck not?

Because this could have been a great way to push 3DS sales, especially outside of Japan where most people don't give a fuck about Monster Hunter.

The amount of people in this thread that are essentially going: "GRRR, I WANTED A SLIGHTLY ENHANCED VERSION OF BLACK AND WHITE AND INSTEAD GOT FULL-BLOWN SEQUELS. ARGHH!" is kind of astounding.

Given that Pokémon isn't made by Nintendo the creators don't give a fuck about pushing 3DS sales. They'll go where their market is.

So are there any details other than a name and system?

I'm wondering if it will be a "grey" type game, just with another name.

Edit:

Yeah. I don't get the problem. It is more pokemon. What exactly were people thinking was going to be released. Is all the anger due to it not being on 3DS? I can understand that.

It still doesn't change how the 3DS is their this-gen handheld. I've had a DS since it came out, I've owned 3 separate versions on it, and 1 enhanced one. I personally find it's time to move on to the next one.
- Because why the fuck not?
It doesn't give me much to hope for personally.

I wouldn't be surprised if the were saving that for after a 3DS revision comes out.

Some people aree complaining about it being on the DS but I want to see what kind of connectivity it has with Black and White since that may have been a big part of the decision.

Um, what?
We've had this discussion many times in this thread. Pokémon is made by GameFreak, a company independant of Nintendo. Ownership of the Pokémon IP is split between GameFreak and Nintendo. Nintendo just let GameFreak get on with doing whatever they want, then publish the game for them.

I'm convinced people are just knee-jerk reacting and saying the first thing that comes to their mind rather than doing any critical thinking. It is the internet after all.

3DS is doing very, very well internationally, the lack of Monster Hunter isn't an issue in those regions.

Who only makes games on Nintendo platforms? I understand what you're saying, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
But a 3DS game is coming. We know that.

This being a continuation of gen V, it makes sense to exploit the existing fanbase as long as possible. And everyone with a 3DS can play it.

I can guarantee you Nintendo would make more long-term money from selling this game on DS than 3DS.

The next game after? Probably more money to be made on 3DS. It's all about timing.

And this way nobody has to buy a 3DS before the hardware revision, either! Everybody wins.

I really thought they would dig into some really wild things as a title for sequels instead of go with Black 2 and White 2. I was expecting Pokemon Space and Time or something.

Diamond and Pearl were already the Time and Space ones, though. Black and White actually fit the theme of the game.
