We don't got that excuse anymore pal. B&W came out in Yurope first!
But just a few months later after the japan release? At that time the NoE localization team has a lot to do with Wii U introduction and the 3DS Lineup.

Not sure what that has to do with it since Nintendo doesn't handle the localization of Pokémon titles anymore.
By no-one you mean all the people with DSs, right? You know, those people who dwarf the 3DS owners.
Since then?
Couldn't you say the same about the PS2 & PS3? Should Square have developed FFXIII for PS2 instead just because it had a larger install base?
Pretty much the only way to redeem this disappointment.
That's why FF XIII has gone multiplateform.
That and also MS's money helped an awful lot.
I think this is kinda like God of War 2 scenario here, though. Simply Game Freak most likely doesn't have an engine on the 3ds running yet and they do on the DS. So instead of making us wait for the next generation for ages they are releasing these two games on the DS.
Having said that they really should have released them much much sooner
Cmon, thats being a bit drastic isnt it?here we have the move that will re-launch Vita in japan
how non-sense for the 3ds system, honestly.
to me, I'll not pick up the game, I'll wait for a real "3ds" title, hoping for some improvement on the graphic and structure of the brand.
Isn't this exactly the sort of game we were all expecting? It's Pokemon Gray in all but name.
I thought it was going to be on 3DS, with all of the modern graphics/online that comes with that.

I rarely care about stories in games, let alone a Pokemon game. But if this is an actual story-sequel like it seems to be, you'd be better off having played BW.
So did Pokemon take Dragon Quest's place as the officially laziest franchise in Japanese gaming?
No info yet, but the 2 implies a new adventure. Are these both versions with a few added mons and features like the third versions used to be? And there's two of them?
I think Ninty just crossed a line they've never crossed.

I also never beaten a Pokemon game.

They won't be, don't worry. They're sequels, not a repackaged third version.
saw a bunch a people asking why they were doing this(black and white 2 and not just grey and why on Ds and not 3DS) and being someone with general sense id like to answer the concerns.
moneymoneymonaaaaaay
MONAY
putting out two pokemon games with almost virtually no production cost difference and and a system with a bigger install base = more money guys. its a smart move on their part.
What can they do with the DS games at this point that would warrant me getting these games 2 years into the 3DS's life?
Add in the features they forgot to add to BW like Pokemon following you? Make it so that you can plaint and grow berries ingame? Expand upon the damn story (that though I liked I wouldn't care to buy a game just because of it)? The best they COULD do is make this a mixture of BW and RS ... like a half RS remake half BW 3rd game that makes a part 2 to the story following N.
It's also true. And I hope that a new engine will allow more things, to make this serie evolve. I hope more detailled towns, more NPC, 3D battle, but fast battles.
I don't think anyone here fails the understand the reasoning behind this (greed), but that doesn't mean we should be happy about this.
Honestly, they kinda have to seeing the power of the 3DS is RE Revelations and KH Dream Drop Distance. If they don't then it's probably gonna be the biggest disappointment in the 3DS library
Pokemon has never pushed the graphics of the system it's on. While I expect a reasonably big bump from BW2 to Gen 6, it likely won't be anywhere near the level of RE:E or KH3D.
So many questions regarding these games...
1 - If it's the same characters, what happens to their old Pokemon and what do they do in the game? They can't go round doing the gyms again, that wouldn't make sense
2 - If it's new characters (maybe with cameos of the old ones), we as players have done the gyms already so that wouldn't be fun either
3 - If it's a new region, what ties it to the first Black and White?
When I think about it, BW kind of ended abruptly for me; Ghetsis just disappeared, N flew off and it seemed like things weren't really over. So it kind of makes sense for there to be a sequel, and I'm really interested to see what they do with it. They could completely change the formula of the games with this one because it's a direct sequel (presumably).
