This is why I'm assuming the worst and it's just two Greys. It's probably not that, tbh- the '2' is the elephant in that room- but still. I know it's on the same platform, and I know it's got new Formes of an existing, previously out-of-the-way Legendary. It sure smells like a 'Grey' as it stands.

We need info soon. If it's a proper sequel, and I can fight Black at the end? SIGN ME UP.
 
If the red and blue logos are just huge trolls on Nintendo's part, I'm going to be pissed. If my pipe dream of Unova/Hoenn double land is true, then this will be the best Pokemon game ever. Hoenn is the best region.

It would make sense, but again, we don't know anything yet.
Besides the names, everything else is assumption.

It could just be 2 Grays, but they just want to preserve that Yin/Yang thing.

zekroms tail turns blue. reshirams turns red. that's what they mean.

oh, i will always prefer sprites and i wish they'd never go away, but i've accepted that they will.

Although this is a good compromise, I still prefer sprites. It's just the heart and soul of Pokemon has always been those beautifully animated sprites that emit so much personality.

I have no doubt whatever Gamefreak chooses, it'll be alright. I guess this step from 2D->3D is kind of like how all the classic Nintendo franchises like Mario, Metroid and Zelda were and they all turned out great.

It's only a troll because you trolled yourself.
 
It is most definitely a sequel, or else they wouldn't have named it '2'. That's how they are positioning it as. If it were a mere 3rd version, there would have been no numbers in the title.

And because it's a sequel, I'm wondering about the direction they'll take with the story - new protagonist, same region? Same protagonist, different region? New leaders, or old leaders with new teams? At the very least, it'll concentrate around Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom, but that's all that's known, since this is the first time GF has done this outright, and not as a development thing, since it's coming so soon (unlike 'Pocket Monsters 2', which turned into Gold/Silver).

I think it's safe to say it's not the usual retelling of B/W that usually happens in the 3rd version.
 
So if no Ruby/Sapphire stuff, then what? No way Game Freak just does a retread through Unova. I mean, I know I'd still buy it, but I hope it's not the case with a continuation of the story.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, sprites should always be used.
 
Electricity isn't assigned a colour, it just is what it is. Zekrom's blue electricity is what makes him the coolest Pokemon since Lugia, for what it's worth, so yeah
 
I can't believe this is actually happening. I am really curious to see where they will go with this. If this is a direct sequel, are going to be the same person from the last game? Does this take place immediately after the first one? Will you be starting back at level 1? How are those alternate forms going to tie into the story? Will there be new pokemon, are gameplay changes? Which region will this take place in?
I don't what to think.

Beautifully animated? Holy crap I lol'd. It wasn't until this gen that they even had more than a couple of frames for animation during the emergence in battle, and even now their animation is pretty lame and not very impressive.

6th gen needs 3D cel-shaded.

And it is pixellated, no matter what way you look at it. The animations on Pokedex 3D are awesome. Sorry, sticking to my guns on this one guys.

Sprites are only part of Pokemon because it's only just now that the hardware's getting good enough for them not to be.
