I played rugby before I played football. I also live a short walk away from the RDS and Lansdowne Road. My brother is the oddity as he likes football more then rugby.

It would be a surprise if I wasn't a rugby fan. Still love football though.

Fair enough. Nonetheless please don't talk down the LoI by talking down the "standard" - which imo doesn't really hold any water - not every country can have a millionaire's league with lots of TV money sloshing about and the LoI has more then its fair share of detractors in Ireland. Football is football.

Oasis is as overrated as English players

Don't you mean The Beatles, Radiohead?

Oasis are as shot as English players.

You better leave the typo there.

Dave Jones has been appointed as our new manager.

Pleased with that to be honest. I don't think I'll ever be comfortable with the way Megson was sacked but Jones is a strong replacement. He's a better than League One standard manager and has all the necessary experience to succeed.

Welcome to Hillsborough, Dave.

Oasis don't have a bad album, or a bad song, really.

Oh wow you done goofed.

One semi good album. I can't believe that of all the Britpop bands they're the most herald. The amount of people I know who dismiss Blur in relation to them and then are confused when I mention Pulp as well makes me sick. Suede and Black Grape were better as well. Fuck Oasis.

And Radiohead are incredible. The Smiths are great. Joy Division are great. Oasis are shite.

This really pisses me off more than it should. Joy division is the incredible one...

Well, at least you like them.
Masss Effect series is as overrated as Oasis.

Joy Division are fantastic, I personally don't like them as much as Radiohead because their sound is narrower in scope but they're still brilliant. One of my top 10 bands for sure. Plus I've seen Radiohead and I've actually been erect in their presence

Oh my god, I fucking hate our ticket office at times. When the hell was this announced? You'd think the fact I pay £30 to be a 'member' they'd send an email once in a while.
I know what you mean, if I hadn't logged on to the ticket site to see if there were any late tickets left for Arsenal, I wouldn't have had a clue that the derby tickets were on sale. It's ridiculous that the club can be good in most areas yet one of the most important, the ticket office, is absolutely abysmal.

I can't remember the last time I got an email off them, unless it's one trying to get me to spend money with Thomas Cook.

The way it supposedly works is that any returned or unsold tickets are made available to members first, then fancard holders, then they go to general sale. This makes the most sense, is fair, and is how it used to be done, even for most of this season.

But both the Arsenal and Wigan games have gone straight to General sale and then sold out - so I couldn't get a ticket for either game despite wanting to. The Everton game is also General sale, except you need to have gone to at least one game this season, so that made it a bit easier to get tickets.

Complained about the process of not giving priority to members/fancard holders on the live chat (which incidentally is only open from 9am-12pm Tuesday to Friday - which half-decent money making business only has support available for 3 hours a day, 4 hours a week? Unreal) and this is what I was told: there has already been a sale for members.

Yes, that would be the half-season ticket sale back in November, where you're a) very lucky to get a ticket for every game and b) if you do, you have to spend £400+ on tickets in one go, which I and I'm guessing quite a few others couldn't afford to at the time.

I pointed out that previous games have gone on sale to members first, which was ignored and I was told sales are advertised when they know about them. Complete bullshit - as you said they never bother emailing, and I've checked .tv today and there's absolutely nothing in the News section about Arsenal, Everton OR Wigan tickets. What does "when we know about them" even mean anyway? You're the ticket office, you should know what you're doing since it's your responsibility to organise ticket sales.

At that point I was asked "is there anything else I can help you with?" when I'd barely had chance to read the previous response, and a couple of seconds later "Rosalyn" or whatever her name was disconnected without even waiting for an answer.

Awful customer service all round. Seriously wondering what I'm paying 30 quid a year for at the moment, because it definitely isn't priority access to tickets.

Is it national be as wrong as possible day?

They're crap. All their songs sound almost exactly the same, the lyrics are extremely cliched, Liam Gallagher is probably the biggest knob in the world. Half of What's The Story is good but apart from that I have no affinity for them whatsoever.

I like Ryan Adams' cover of Wonderwall though.

I know the history behind Blur and Oasis, but they are actually one of my favorite bands. Blur is my personal favorite, mainly because of Damon, but I think Oasis is better.

One semi good album in your ass, that's preposterous.

Oh my. You used to be cool.

Haha no way, anything from after Be Here Now is awful and should be burnt. I can't think of one song I'd class on Definitely Maybe as being a genuinely well written song, same with Be Here Now.

I suppose I should say they're average but the love that all my friends have for them while never having heard Pulp until we went Reading last year just makes me hate them even more. Sorry guyz

Swansea > Oasis

Hamsik admits he is interested in PSG project. Yeah ok...

Just started playing The Witcher 2. I seriously doubt ME3 is going to be any better than this. And it can definitely wait if they are going to continue with ridiculous DLC policy.

Happy birthday Viva!

edit: Where is ME3 almost £20?

People do that to try to validate the reasons why they support top football clubs from another country.

The first two and last Oasis albums are good.
