Had that too earlier today. Reconnecting fixed it for me.
Never had this, but relaunching dota usually fixes stuff like this.

The changelog for the test client reveals all the bugs that are not yet fixed in the main client. So they basicly give you a list of bugs to abuse.
Just got accepted into the beta 
Never played a moba game before and only know the basics based on footage I've seen. I'll have to play around with bots for a bit.
My invite doesn't come with another invite does it? Would have liked to have given it to my friend.

Happened twice to me since the patch. Restarting the game fixed it both times.
I also get a bug where I can't type a lowercase "o"

Hey guys, so when I first launched the game it asks me to pick between New, Familiar, Experienced. I'm new to the game, but it seems like picking New will gimp the game so to speak by limiting choices, and I kind of want the full experience... once you pick New are you stuck? Should I go with familiar?
It has no impact right now. (at least not for limiting anything) Seems to be for when it releases.

omg omg omg, a coworker won a CS:GO beta key on twitter and gave it to me since he was never really into CS much, so I download that and just a few minutes ago get an email saying I'm in the Dota2 beta as well. 
Going to read all the noob guides (again) while it downloads.
Oh man I love my 10MB/s download speed from Steam. Since I started this post it's up to 70% lol.

Okay okay, the CS GO thing was rubbing it in our faces. But nooooooooooooooo, that wasn't enough. Had to also rub your superior speeds in our faces too!

Sarcasm aside, congrats. A friend of mine got into the CS GO beta too, but wont play it because he isn't in the mood for CS anymore :/
Off topic: To be fair it has none of the charm present in Dota 2 and is simply more of the same. It's comes down to if you've had enough of CS in it's previous incarnations.
Pudge and bane works too. Unfortunately the bane I teamed with said I was bad for suggesting such a cheap trick.

Played Earthshaker a few times now...I can see how valuable he can be to a team with competent players. Unfortunately, the curse of solo pub is that...well...every other game, you'll end up with a pair of carries that can't get their offense going, and damn if it feels helpless. I'm went like 3/3/15 with him, which seems about right since his game isn't regular offense...but we got wiped out because an under-leveled, under-farmed doom bringer is like the worst thing ever.

DOTA/HoN-GAF is still as salty/serious as I remember it. Seems to be less about outrage and more about tense silence.

I did the Pudge/Bane combo earlier. It wasn't even fair. Completely ruined them with it. We had OD as mid too, and it was easy to time the hooks with his stuff. So I had two heroes setting up kill shots for me throughout the entire match. So nasty
