Anyone else having problem with The Simpsons: Tapped Out?
I haven't been able to login for the last 8-9 hours or so.

Yup... glad to see I'm not the only one. Haven't been able to log in once today. Support site is of no help and blames it on popularity... lol.

:/

A common missconception about iCloud itself is that it's a cloud saving storage while it's actually just a cloud saved backup of your iDevice. Apps have to individually support cloud saving from the apps themselves (that's what the "documents & data" of iCloud is).

You'll have to restore from backup to potentially recover your save game.

Reseting only the settings to factory conditions did the trick, apparently.

Just spoil me the real ending, in case I don't get things working again. :P

You know, I never really got into that Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa game on PC but, damn, the iOS version is pretty fucking great. Something about changing the perspective to something that you look down into, rather than straight across at, coupled with the tilt controls makes this game unbelievably immersive and almost unputdownable.

****Waking Mars ending spoiler****
The Core is a giant spaceship and it cracks through the surface and flies off into space.

You're 1st on the leaderboard exploration wise now though, you somehow got the post-end score to stick it seems, 108.7%, same as mine but I can't get it to recognize it.

Cool! Much better than the one I got. I was on my way to doing this ending and the game suddenly crashed. Very frustrating. :(

I hope this ending get uploaded on YouTube eventually. I want to watch it.

Just completed all the levels in League of Evil 2 and all I get is a 'To be continued' which hopefully just means free update levels and not IAP levels.

Yup, game kicks ass. Lacks a certain super-smoothness to make it work really well but it's close and probably really rocks on the 4S.

I just put up some fairly detailed hands-on impressions of Mass Effect Infiltrator. It's an exclusive:

http://wireless.ign.com/articles/121/1219925p1.html

I'm aware of an issue with the screenshot gallery. Looking into it now.

Edit: I believe the screenshots should now work.
Sounds very cool. I really hope they're ready for iPad 3 resolution at/soon after launch, as this will probably be the first app I buy when I pick one up.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if games like Infiltrator simply get their resolution bumped to 2048x1536. Would require a beastly chip, which is one of the major unknowns going into the announcement.

Trying out the Simpsons game. Origin id for those in need: arodsalgado

Edit: Nevermind, this piece of shit rebooted and erased like 30 mins worth of progress.

So as not to waste a post, any good multiplayer games I can buy to play with my girlfriend? We've both got iPads and iPhones.

What genre? Boardgames/Strategy/Shooters/Sports?

Boardgames: Ascencion/Carcassonne are awesome.

Strategy: I've been hooked on Neuroshima Hex for a while now, it's great. Hero Academy is free and fun.

Shooters: I don't actually know any by heart, maybe someone else can help you out here

Sports: for some small fun, I love Ice Rage, it's like a hockey-themed Air hockey game, it's fun, has multiplayer on the same device as well, should be fun playing on the same iPad.

Other genres: ask! :D

Anything fun really, she's a very casual gamer, wouldn't be into something like Ascension. Will check out some of your suggestions. Thanks.

Edit: Preferably something we can play vs online. Can't think of any async games other than the two boardgames you mentioned and Hero Academy :(

What about something like Words with friends there? Pretty much scrabble online, and extremely popular and fun if you like wordgames. Ticket to Ride is another extremely fun and well done async boardgame.

Async bosrdgame, Ticket to Ride. Though only the iPhone edition ("Pocket") has said features atm if I recall correctly.

On Game Center i noticed there are four new achievements for Where's my Water? Some new levels called "Caution to the Wind".

Update must be coming soon.

You guys playing Waking Mars on iPhone or iPad? Neither ones controls really appeal to me..

iPad is too big to control comfortably and iPhone is too small cause my fingers cover up the character.

For those who use freemyapps, how often do new sponsor apps get added?

Follow @FreeMyApps on Twitter (or set up some notification system like Boxcar to notify you every time they make a tweet). I think they add about 2-4 a week, but sometimes they only last for a couple of hours.

They don't always tweet when they add a sponsor, but they usually do.

Ok. "Aaaaaa..." is super awesome. So much content. So polished. Later levels are fantastic. Framerate could be better on the iPhone 4 (especially when you get the speed-ups which introduce motion blur) but it rarely gets problematic.

The game's style is very unique and it has tons of personality. This kinda game for just a $2.99 = insane.

I really can't fully articulate just how immersive Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa is on iOS.

Played it fine through completion on iPhone.

I warmed up to the iPad controls. It was hard to play laying down but sitting up it's just fine. Can be a little hard to force walking sometimes but otherwise enjoying the SHIT out of this game. People, buy it. It's too good!

I thought the AaaAAaa... games on PC were horseshit.

Edit: I hate that there's no good way to multi-quote post on secondapps.

The idea of playing them on PC or console doesn't sound very attractive to me but the game is indeed pretty immersive on iOS. Tilt is just by far the best type of controls for this game since it's literally all about tilting yourself during skydiving to avoid obstacles. It just feels so right.

And the fact that the whole package is so well done with its totally bizarre but somehow really cool universe ties it together really well.

I think this is the best thread for this...

Can anyone make a recap of all known console famous game devs that has jumped on iPhone-Facebook?

I remember Yoshifusa Hayama (Last Guardian), Keiji Inafune (Megaman), Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy).

I "finished" Mega Mall Story (I say finished because there isn't really anything to do for me here except waiting) and out of Game Dev Story and Grand Prix Story it's my least favourite of those I've finished.

Need some point and click adventure game recommendations
Recently finished Ghost trick , thought it was great but it kinda felt like it dragged on during the final chapters, still had lots of fun.

Akifumi Kaneko, Wild Arms series creator who formerly was part of Media.Vision, devs of the Chaos Rings series, is now making an RPG for iOS and Android with Witchcraft, the studio founded upon departure from Media.Vision.
Also, Yuji Naka, Sonic's creator now makes mostly iOS games with his company Prope.

My old company just released "Draw Something" Its kinda like a mishmash of Pictionary and Words with friends. Pick a word, draw it, send it to a friend and then guess his drawing in return.

Its fun and has a good level of polish (Facebook integration, UI actually made for an iPhone) Theres a free and a paid version so yeah, I think its worth sharing :)

Ok, did I miss the discussion on this? It's the number one paid and free app now.

It's fun, but not without its bugs.

I want Broken Picture Telephone!

New iPad gamer. I quite fancy the whole Exile look of Waking Mars, but the trailer on www.wakingmars.com makes it look incredibly tough. Since I'm relatively new to this touch malarkey, will I get horribly frustrated with it?
