I don't remember if it was you specifically, but yeah I did read GTO when someone here recommended it to me. One of my very favorite comic series. Is Shonan 14 Days done yet? I don't remember why, but I stop reading Alive near the very end. No idea that the author was on his deathbed during the final arcs.

Spending the entire second to last chapter looking at the future of maybe the 10th most important character in the story definitely doesn't make much sense. This hasn't felt like a good ending point for the series at all since it was announced though.
I'm not seeing anything to that. Random guesses are that it'll air in the summer, but nothing's been confirmed from what I can find. That said, summer would be a pretty good bet given it'll have been a year since its green-light announcement by then.

This might be a really weird question, but could One Piece volume 61 be an okay place to jump back into the series?
I've read bits and pieces of this manga, but I want to take another look at the story, characters, and setting without reading through chronologically if that makes any sense.

Shonan 14 Days is completed but hasn't been fully translated. Someone posted a while back that Fujisawa was working on a new manga I believe.

Honestly you don't even have to be a Gundam fan to appreciate Gundam Sousei or the badassery in Crossbone.

Read Shonan Junaï Gumi ! It's set before GTO, it's awesome and very funny to boot. The humor is really GTO-like, you can't go wrong with that. The drawings are a little weird at first but it gets better eventually.

Guys, I'm trying to track down a manga I read a few years ago. It was a high school romance/comedy where the male and female lead were always at odds with each other. I only read a few chapters and I think the art was pretty good.
Yeah, I know, that's a pretty vague description but i'm hoping you guys can help me out. I think it might be a shoujo series but the art looked more shounen-ish.

When you say "at odds", maybe you could be more specific? They hate each other? They can't bear to look in each other's eyes, they get nervous when near each other and do random stupidness?
If you can provide more descriptions for the characters or settings then other shoujoheads can pin down the manga for you.

Hmm.. The guy and girl are both smart, they constantly compete with each other and have a general tsuntsun dislike for each other.
The biggest factor I think is that the art wasn't your typical bishy art, so it might be categorized under shounen as well.. that's why i've been having a hard time finding it.
I'd love to, but I have a very blurry memory of it. I really only know the stuff I stated above.
I'll try and find it myself, though but there's pages and pages to wade through on manga-updates.

It's where the timeskip happens so it should be a good place in that respect, although overall I'd suggest against skipping chapters, because it'll be the small details in previous chapters that come back to bite you in the ass when it comes to One Piece.
No, despite the arcs being very segmented similar to Dragonball each of them is full of continuity porn.
Well you gonna miss one of the best arcs in the manga if you skip directly to volume 61. Plus other characters motives and stuff won't make sense.
Absolutely not. Tried doing that waay back in the day and failed miserably. You're going to have shotgun it, from beginning to end. (took me 2 months to re-read the entire thing at a leisurely pace)
Not this one either, I actually thought it might have been because the premise seemed close but the art style is different and the guy doesn't dislike the girl in Kare Kano it seems.
