You guys must not be art peeps. I spend a long time reading some manga checking out the art. The actual reading for me takes up like 5% of the time at best.

I speed read; most pages take a few seconds :|

I do like to think that I check out the art "enough" though! Plus, I re-read everything eventually anyway.

Speed reading fiction in general defeats the whole point, IMO, but manga especially so. That doesn't even give the panels time to bring you in.

People enjoy things differently. I'm not knocking on anybody for not being interested in the art. But for me at least, that's mainly why I read manga. It's attaching visuals to simple dynamics. Many manga pages represent what would be one sentence in a literary work. And I'm not saying that there is "more" to that one page then what that one sentence represents. However, there is definitely more to it regarding "how" the artist chose to represent it. It's similar to restructuring a sentence or altering the vocabulary of the literary work. Sometimes, such small changes can make significant changes in how it is read.
Even looking at the art doesn't slow me down that much. I'm naturally a fast reader. Art is something I can look at afterwords too.
I read and type very fast. But the way I enjoy manga has nothing to do with either.

Muhyo to Rouji end

Well that ending was a massive blue balls. I want to know what the deal was with Vector :/

Still blows my mind that Shounen Jump will cancel a series with a chapter count will into the hundreds.

Bleach vol 51

I like Riruka. I guess I like tsuntsun characters.
Best part of the volume was probably the Riruka/Inoue bits toward the end, though there were plenty of badass moments with Ichigo, Tsukishima and Ginjo.
And I wonder what Ichigo's dad, Urahara and the other dude are planning.

Bokurano is my favourite Mohiro Kitoh manga by a wide margin. Unlike his other manga I could actually take it seriously and found it pretty touching.

I love Kitoh, yet I can't get over the premise and read Bokurano. It's weird, since I love Narutaru to death.

One Piece Spoilers

Smoker and co arrive at the island
They arrive at the building Brook saw

He orders one of his dudes to find a guy named M that they can't find? (I messed this part up methinks)

Luffy and co ride on a boat Ussop made.
Kentarous follows

Kentarous says that there goes the intruders
in front of him is a guy called the boss and his underlings

Brook battles with the upper body of the samurai
He runs away saying it's scary

Arriving at the castle is Smoker
Law comes out of the door
In order to become a Shichibukai he sent 100 pirate hearts to the government

Damn, Law actually became a Shichibukai?

Lame. And why did he join anyway? Only thing I can see happening is another Blackbeard backstabbing.

Most of them going to backstab the WG any way it only a matter of when .
Figure it was law with hints we got .
Seem like allot of enemies around M , Law and Smoker .

RRR

Stop it, I thought were were finished with the dark turns after the first one. its kind of losing steam but I think its near the end anyway.

So Tsunade has a hidden technique she held onto during Pain's invasion? 'Cuz there's no way she had time to develop a new technique, given the time between the confinement arc and the war arc. And she's stronger than the Raikage? Tf is this shit coming from kishi? Hell, asspulling Hashirama's powers is one thing, but hyping Tsunade up now? JEEZ.

Holy shit @ Quincy leader. Finally, a truly badass Bleach villain. No troll, no twinkle toes. Just straight up manliness and badass.

Yeah the manga is ten volumes so it's nearly over I think.

It's a bit disappointing. Asahina went from "total jerk" to "actually a good character" to a "really total jerk so far from human beings true behavior that he became the usual cliche used in manga" in 3 chapters.

I wonder if the artist wanted to do that though or was it just because the manga was cancelled.

Naruto

I think the translator having Itachi say "geez" is very apt for this crime of a chapter.

Unimpressed but I feel a plot twist on the way.
Soon.

Well at least Kishi had the decency to foreshadow whatever the fuck those two team hawk member people (Juugo and...?) found in hidden Orochimaru cave #11243566

Naruto

So, Sasuke wants to kill Kabuto to have all the fun time he wants with his brother?

oh man, Naruto is going to be so jealous

Naruto 577

Plenty of action, and Madara handing ass. To quote Itachi "Geez", the match I've been waiting for is finally next issue. More waiting.

Bleach... anime?

I'm LTTP with the info, but my friends tell me it's ending in March. Is this true? I wonder if they plan to start a new anime series in 2-3 years when the final manga saga concludes, one without the fillers a la ultimate/kai/brotherhood?

Naruto.

Why can't Itachi just genjutsu the shit outta Kabuchimaru and make him cancel the jutsu?

One Piece.

As expected.
Law is a Shichibukai.

What's he doing, goddammit?!!

One Piece: B-

Hmm. This chapter was okay. Didn't get interesting until the end. So Law is a fucking Shichibukai. What the fuck happened for him to want to do that? I don't know how I feel about this development, but if this means that Luffy will have yet another ally that is a Shichibukai...that's okay.

Law helped him but he's not really an ally. He's also not strictly an enemy, we don't really know much about Law's plans or ambitions yet, hopefully we find out a bit more next chapter.

Because we don't know much about him though I wouldn't go and say him becoming a Schichibukai is a problem.
