I wouldn't say it's a scam, but I'd agree with your earlier post that $350 would have been the sweet spot. $300 would have been the dream price, and literally cut the legs out from under all of the other lower cost android tabs.

ipad 2 already beats out high end android tablets and was competitive on price at $500. Its now $400.

Of course less would be nicer, but this isn't 'the apple tax'. They have the best devices at better/similar prices to the competition. What isn't to like?

Realistically the only way you'd be looking at a $300 device would be with less power or (more likely) a smaller screen.

I really don't know. Is there any information on data plans from AT&T/Verizon? Will they be exactly the same as the existing iPad data plans from those companies?

Also, can we get some maps of 4G coverage?

However, with how they stealth unveiled OS X Mountain Lion, I have a feeling they won't be doing huge events for their PC stuff anymore .

in the UK so no 4G until next year. i'm mostly in range of wifi except on occasion, so I'll keep a crappy phone in my bag with a data sim that can act as a hotspot.

Main question for me is white/black? White looks pretty but surely that bezel must distract from video/reading?
