But then again, they have a lot of things going in their favor as it doesn't seem like the other consoles will even be revealed there.
No one will care about this drought of info after E3.
I don't think Nintendo's Wii U showing will eclipse what people are expecting but there's no chance it will be a big disappointment.

UE4. The Wii U will have less memory and a lower-class GPU than, say, the PS4... but it's also above the DX9 class GPUs in the current consoles. If my PC had an AMD 6650 in it, I would expect that it would run the same software as a 7970 with lower quality and/or resolution.

On the contrary I reckon if they're holding off so far from announcing anything new for 3DS, is because they intend to deliver an overwhelming conference full of anything they could throw in, including new Pokemon for DS, they're going for making the most of it definitely.
I think an HD re-release of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess a la Ico/Shadow of the Colossus (alongside Majora's Mask 3DS) would make a wonderful present.

Not that a big deal as far as I'm concerned, it's not as we're talking OoT's remake on 3DS.
Of course it would be nice to give the opportunity to try those games to those who missed them back in the day, but I can't see a couple plain HD ports having a big appeal to GC/Wii's long-time costumers - such as myself and supposedly the most of people who post in this thread -, that's where Nintendo should aim at first and foremost in the early stage.

Also cant wait to see every Nintendo hater on the planet claiming "The WiiU has only xbox 360 power LOLZ!!!" No matter what will be shown on E3. Just like the 3DS was "slightly" more powerful than a PSP when the games were shown on E3 2010...
