Just wanted to post a video of my friends new iOS game "On The Wind" http://youtu.be/TUGlDQaqgh4
I believe it will be available in the next few weeks!

He has taken the enviable and brave plunge and become a fully fledged Indie Developer and started his own studio Don't Step On The Cracks.

This looks fantastic. Like a 2D Flower.

Real Ski Jump HD is the latest game in my Prope gaming binge. It's pretty fun like a mini Sega arcade game. Perfect for playing one handed on the bus.

DDP Resurrection HD Incoming! Why can't they add iCade support for the HD only releases?? :(

Gonna be hard for devs to keep up. This "HD" is likely not iPad 3 "HD."

It's going to be maddening trying to sort through this "HD" resolution mess. Apple better have a new little symbol incoming to earmark the Retina display of the iPad 3...

Definitely pick up MONSTER FLIP! Played the hell out of it on the flight back from GDC and loved it.

Congrats to Launching Pad and also our new friends at PikPok! :)

Is anyone here playing Draw Something? I'm playing with a bunch of my real life friends and having a blast with it.

I bought the ad-free version today and can't stop playing. It's so fun and addictive, and at times hilarious. I can't believe someone actually guessed my attempt at Gandalf (hard level) just now...

Missed my stop on the train this morning. Thanks, Monster Flip!

Apple's not letting me review it on the App Store, though. Is it because I redeemed it from Milla's code?

Oh wow! I just downloaded it! What an awesome game! Play a game with me-my username is MDavis360.

Great to see people enjoying Monster Flip.

Hmmm maybe. There was a time you couldn't leave a code from a promo. I thought they had flipped it back though.

My favorite DrawSomething moment was my sister drawing a leg and I somehow knowing she was referring to Angelina Jolie.

Man, I wish Apple would implement a way to block random invites in Game Center. I keep pressing Ignore on the invites, but they just keep coming.

"The new [gamename] HD"

Got to finally spend some time with Kids vs Goblins today and I'm having a good time with it. Getting the hang of swtiching stances and using my powers properly, it's a neat little game. The graphics do work a lot better in motion than in screens, although there is still a bit of jank to it.

I think my main criticism is that compared to Battleheart the locking on to attack feels a little bit insubstantial, it's like there needs to be a bit more feedback that blows are landing or that you're having an effect. You get used to it after a little while, but I sometimes feel like I'm doing badly because it lacks that snap-to fluidity of Battleheart.

But still, it's an excellent little game, and anyone with an iPad2 or 4S needs to give it a go.

It sounds somewhat interesting but the art style puts me off.

So I downloaded Bar Adventure Story, and I'm having a real hard time at guessing the recipes. Is there a FAQ or anything for this game available anywhere yet? I feel like this ga,e could be fun, but now it's just pointless trial and error.

Maybe we can have an OT where we can share info?

Have you bought any tools from Fred's shop? I've yet to try an "original" creation, but I have around 100+ recipes. No guesswork needed so far.

Holy shit @ Dodonpachi Resurrection HD! Next week! That'll be fun to play waiting the last few hours for my package to arrive :)

So for those who ordered the new iPad. How do you move your old stuff to your new pad, and wipe your old pad to give to someone else?

Back it up to iCloud, log in on your Apple ID on the New iPad and it can download everything back.

Wipe it clean through Settings > General > Restore

My coworkers spent the entire day answering emails and throwing coins in the Power of Coin game mentioned in the last page.

So when you hook the new iPad to your iTunes account it will just download all your existing apps in that account too?

I haven't actually done this in practice yet, but I presume it connects to the App Store and downloads according to your purchases. The backed up parts are the appdata, settings and other stuff.

OK thanks :) I guess we shall see how it all works out. I wonder if there will be anything out there that uses the new resolution. (HD games of course)

Backup your iPad to your computer and then there should be an option to restore to factory settings under Settings -> General -> Reset.

OH RIGHT

I forgot they purchased Popcap.

stupid ea

Popcap has been kind of shitty in some areas before EA came along though. PvZ on the iPad has fewer features and modes than the iPhone one and they're slow as shit with bug fixes.

They havent done anything new in awhile besides milking bejeweled, so you'd figure their existing games would get tons of attention. Must make so much money that they don't give a damn.

I'm still sore that the more expensive iPad version of Plants Vs. Zombies hasn't been updated with any of the newer iPhone content. Just rubs me the wrong way when devs do that.

Don't kno why but I've played a ridiculous amount of PVZ on PC and 360 yet I'm tempted to pick it up on iOS now. Also I probably don't need to get anything yet I want to get something lol. *Goes back to wondering if he should get Crimsonheart, PVZ or something else*

Same. It's just.. "Come on!"

I bought Infiltrator and Adventure Bar Story just now impulsively. Dammit.

I don't like the iPhone version, I just don't think it translates well to a small screen. Of course, this was before its retina update, so I could find it better now. The iPad version, however, is probably my favorite version of the game (even with the lack of updates).

Hmm may pick it up then. And it seems like PopCap mainly care about the iOS version since its still being updated.

been stockpiling all universal or ipad games that have gone on sale(PvZ and peggle hd finally). i want to see if they throw out some ridiculous sales come march 16...my $100 itunes card is loaded and ready.

The iPad version of p vs z is incredible. Perfect controls. One of the few games I gladly grinder through to get 100% achievements-but it still doesn't have freaking Zen Garden! there's no excuse!

So... if you bought the regular one on the 4S you're stuck with the SD version? Damn, that's a bit crap.
Yeah you're stuck with it until you shell out for the new version. I'm just glad they finally appear to be doing universal "HD" versions now.

(...which makes me think that a Bug Princess HD is likely on the way cause they got the the HD sprite work done for the new 360 release.)

The Cave HD games will be on sale! And by sale I mean still more expensive than anything else you'll look at, but they're worth it. Well if you like shooters at least.
