To be mad at MDA for winning is outlandish. History shows us, greats of the greats dominate the rings. He's never had that player. Never will. But he's done a fine job without one.

Edit: They were 7-0 with healthy players running his shit. PROPERLY. Lin, Novak, Jeffries, Shump-Shump.

If you don't have a defensive coach and system, it doesn't matter how good of a defensive player you have, your defense will still be crap. E.g 2009 playoffs magic.

And he has this much talent and what is he doing? That is the worst part about this whole thing. Even with this much 'talent' he can't do shit. I don't care if Melo is the reason or not. Pringles has the talent that other coaches would DIE for and he still can't do shit with it. Phil Jackson, after losing Michael Jordan, still was able to get the Bulls extremely close to the finals. He had Scottie Pippen and it was Tony's first year in the league. Rick Adleman is pulling a freaking bunny out of a hat in Minnesota. Mike has Tyson, Amare, and Melo and wtf is going on?

Trading for Deron Williams will never happen. The Nets would never do it because they're the Nets (they hate the Knicks) - and their object is to team Deron with Dwight.

Carmelo Anthony cost the Knicks a number of pieces they'd love to have right now - Gallo, Mozgov, W. Chandler, picks - and if he's traded again, he's not going to get any comparable value back.

The coaching situation is another tenuous one - we don't want D'Antoni, but we can't realistically get any actual good/proven coaches either. JVG will never come back to coach here. Thibodeau will probably be locked up. Rivers will probably be locked up. Phil Jackson isn't coming out of retirement to coach here with the team in this state.

We should blow it up, but how? We already lost our GM who got us back to respectability less than a year ago in Donnie Walsh. We already blew it up the last two years to get the guys we have.

Are you one of those folks who think Phil isn't a great coach because he had MJ, Scottie, Shaq, and Kobe? It's the coaches job to get the most out of his players and Mike isn't doing that.
 
According to REALGM rumors, Pau is pushing for the trade to the Bulls, since both he and Rose have the same agent, and wants them paired up.

Oh god please don't have this happen... It makes no sense. Why would they want to trade for a piece of crap PF when they already are overfilled at that position. And if it's just for an expiring contract they might as well just keep Beasley because at least he is semi-productive on the court while the Wolves wait for this summer and his expiration.

My point is melo and stat are the only people who have earned the right to take that many shots ...He as much as melo/stat has lost games for the knicks due to his persistent chucking.

EDIT: And he probably should stick with asts since he's apparently only good for that.

LAL would shore up two of their weakest positions, while actually getting into BETTER contract situations. The Celtics don't want to drop into the lottery, and this would allow them to replace KG and Allen (to a certain extent), while getting their center of the future.

You werent watching the Knicks when they were winning, so I have nothing in defense to say of Lin because simply I dont have to. And he has proven he doesnt need defending.

I don't see how Melo and STAT earned any right to take shots when they haven't hit many all year.

I agree with the idea that they should take the most shots. But if they're not hitting them, and Smith's not hitting them, and Fields and Shump aren't hitting them, Lin should step up and take them.

I would probably take a first rounder over him (coaching staff might actually draft well), but if he's the only thing available than I would deal.
