Rockets just beat OKC. And OKC recently lost to the Cavs as well.

NBA competition is NBA competition. Consistency does vary though.

You see this is how it works, Cavs can brag they beat OKC...an elite team never brags about how they beat a team like the cavs. Well, unless your in the east.

Brian Mahoney ‏ @briancmahoney
Carmelo also says he's "tired of anonymous sources." With him on that one.

Marc Berman ‏ @NYPost_Berman
Melo said got supportive texts from teammates this morning telling him they don't want him to go.

Ian Begley ‏ @IanBegley
Speaking after Wednesday's shoot around, #Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni says he believes that he has the full support of the locker room.

Bruce Beck ‏ @BruceBeck4NY
@carmeloanthony "I have no prob with Mike D'Antoni - relationship is good - I don't know where these trade rumors came from." #Knicks

Marc Berman is a fucking professional troll.

Seriously dude, Carmelo anthony and amare stoudemire are not on the same level as Jeremy lin. Not on the same level at all.

No, that has nothing to do with anything.
Both of those guys are shooting like crap and not moving the ball on virtually every possession. If they're hitting their shots, you keep feeding them (because they are supposed to be top players in the league)...but if they're not, which they haven't been, you have to try other players - or do it yourself.

Pringles has never had this much talent. He had a team consisting of Boris Diaw, Barbosa, and Raja Bell contending for a title. Think about that shit for a second.

Are you insane? The talent level of those Suns teams and this Kicks team aren't in the same universe.

I would probably take a first rounder over him (coaching staff might actually draft well), but if he's the only thing available than I would deal.

I'd rather have the known quantity. Picks are nice in theory, then they turn into Lazar Hayward.

Richardson comes in and is the best 2 guard the Wolves have had since JR Rider. He's only 31, he can still play. $18M over the next 3 years isn't that much, either.

Seriously... Joe "I still give a damn" Johnson, KJ, Prime Marion, Prime Amare, Prime Diaw, Prime Barbosa, Prime Nash

He had a shitload of talent.

Who says no?

....

I think it's crazy enough to work.

Melo would be motiva....

psss

lol couldn't finish that.

Thorn would totally do that trade. And Melo and the newly Crazy Turner would get in a fight and Melo would suckerpunch and back up 90 feet while Turner would throw balls at him (missing each one due to the distance).

Not sure if want...

Carmelo and stat are higher career percentage shooters than most people on their team and can create their shot. They were brought to knicks for that reason. You CAN NOT in the middle of a season run your offense through a second year rookie with those two players on your team. If that was the case kobe would or any other great player would have been relegated to the bench eons ago.

Those guys and that team just didn't play defense (except Marion, who was a good defender IIRC). If they had a center that played D, or one guy they could use to harass people aside from diminutive Raja Bell, they could've won.

Sigh, they were 8-15 before Lin and going nowhere. And they are currently back to losing every game.

Continue on though...

You guys would never flip Deng and Watson is a bandaid @ the 1, not a long term solution.

I love Brandon Bass but not more than Pau.

I don't know, to be honest...

I don't hate it but I certainly don't love it.
Let's say the Bulls would trade Deng (and from reports, it doesn't seem like they're that INSISTENT on keeping him). I really think you're underrating Watson, and I think he would be better than Sessions if given a starter's chance. For the year, it would fix your two weakest positions, and like I said, it puts the Lakers in even better contract situations. Hell, Watson's last year is a team option.

Phil only coaches stacked contenders, and runs when things start to end.

2006-2007:

Sasha Vujacic
Kobe Bryant
Aaron McKie
Jordan Farmar
William "Smush" Parker
Maurice Evans
Shammond Williams
Luke Walton
Vladimir Radmanovic
Lamar Odom
Brian Cook
Ronny Turiaf
Kwame Brown
Chris Mihm
Andrew Bynum

2005-2006:

Sasha Vujacic
Kobe Bryant
Von Wafer
William "Smush" Parker
Devin Green
Aaron McKie
Jim Jackson
Laron Profit
Luke Walton
Devean George
Lamar Odom
Brian Cook
Stanislav Medvedenko
Kwame Brown
Ronny Turiaf
Chris Mihm
Andrew Bynum

STACKED CONTENDERS.

I guess we'll see.

Stephen A is talking about the Knicks in the background.

Who would win in an asshole competition???

Him Vs. Broussard

Screamin A is the GOAT ESPN asshole.

When he was writing for a Philly paper, you cn still hear his voice and rage in every paragraph...That takes skill.

Broussard got lucky with the LeBron thing and has been wrong since....and it's funny since Screamin A was the one who broke it first.

You can't outobnoxious Stephen A so yeah, he wins.

I thought he bailed during those off years?

Btw, not saying Phil isn't a great coach, just saying he wouldn't tackle that putrid NYK roster. With LA and CHI he always had great No. 1 options. The knicks? I don't see anyone on that roster that should even be compared to MJ/Pippen/Kobe/Shaq/Pau etc. Its like a pipe dream but 100x worse.

... did you start watching basketball this year? First it was not knowing about Al Jefferson recovering from his ACL injury, and now you think that Phil didn't coach the Lakers from '05 onwards?

No. He didn't bail. He came back in 2005, the season after Rudy T gave up after 41 games.

I stopped watching for about a 2 year period after the '06 finals. Shit disgusted me.

Before that, my memory kind of sucks because I was young.

Besides, in a few years they'll land the #1 pick again and draft the next once-in-a-generation center and watch him walk away, too. At least Dwight was in Orlando longer than his rookie contract.

I'd rather let Dwight walk than take back some shit package centered around Brook Lopez.

Haha, you don't want a C that gets 2 rebounds a game?!

I'd still rather have Brook than cap space. Cap space is fun and all, but if your team is saddled with crap like Hedo, no one is coming to Orlando as a FA except 2nd rate players.
