Mike D'Antoni has resigned as New York Knicks coach, a source tells Y! Sports.

The Los Angeles Lakers, meanwhile, are offering Andrew Bynum, Derek Fisher and Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) for Howard, Hedo Turkoglu and Chris Duhon, the sources said. The same sources said there is a holdup with the Lakers in terms of taking on the contracts of Turkoglu and Duhon.
This can't be life

Fuck this noise. Fuck carmelo. Fuck dolan.

Punkass bitch melo got his way.

fuck this team.

This is Starbury all over again.

Ha, fuck being fired, I quit!

and lmao @ Woodson, great improvement there

He didn't resign. They say it was a mutual decision. Basically means Dolan fired him. Same shit with the Melo trade where Donnie chose not to air Dolan out, but didn't re-sign with the team.

Found the actual Yahoo Sports article.

Mike D’Antoni has resigned as coach of the New York Knicks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

D’Antoni and Knicks owner James Dolan agreed on Wednesday to end his three-plus-years run as Knicks coach, a source said. “It was a mutual decision to no longer coach the Knicks … conflicting visions of the club’s future,” the source said.

D’Antoni had clashed with Carmelo Anthony after the trade brought the All-Star forward to the Knicks a year ago, and he could never get the Anthony to buy into his system.

The Knicks have lost six consecutive games to nearly drop them out of the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Wait, the hold up is on the Lakers' end?

Is this real life?

Ridding ourselves of Fisher AND Metta, while snathing up Howard? FUCKING DO IT MITCH. DO IT NOW.

I blame the front office and ownership for fucking Dantoni over all these years. You know how many players he's gone through in his tenure? SMH Mike Woodson isn't the answer either.

Best-GAF, I love the knicks. But fuck this. Fuck this. Ugh.

I'm so close to looking into BK right now. I can even recommend some great spots in Newark where Deron can get a decent fade for once.

At this point, losing D'Antoni couldn't hurt any more than it hurt to keep him. I don't like when players win battles against coaches either, but it's worth a shot... a longshot.

I like that Isiah Thomas, Jerry Sloan and Phil Jackson are all trending on Twitter while D'Antoni is not.

Him and Donnie were actually working together. The problems started when World Wide Wes' group got in Dolan's ear when we were trying to get Lebron. After that Donnie and Mike lost control. I still believe that neither guy wanted Melo. They wanted Deron or Paul.

I don't know much about Mike Woodson, except that the players seem to have taken his instruction well this year.

Is he really a bad coach?

Mike D'Antoni deserved better than this. bigbossalute.jpg

Mike Woodson... fml

D'antoni deserved every bit of this. He took the Knicks job over the Bulls. Even before lucking into Derrick Rose, the Bulls had a better Roster than the Knicks team he inherited.
