So why would Sloan be interested in New York? Coaching Carmelo seems like a nightmare scenario for him, but SI is saying that he's interested.

I'd be very surprised if Sloan goes there... more likely just a product NYC hype rumour bullshit lol.

But it would be hilarious watching him there with melo. And then watching the inevitable fall out.

wtf, blake? Only explanation for this is Sessions is coming, right?

Also, there goes my hope for a Blake-Sessions rotation. FUCKING FISHER

edit: on the plus side, deal preserves TPE which would be Sessions I suppose.

noooooooooo

The #Magic would require written documentation that Howard will waive his early-termination option before deciding against trading him.

Dwight bullshitting? So he can say "Well I told them I'd stay but they traded me anyway. Not my fault lol."

He's looking worse and worse each day. If that is his and his agent's plan then fuck that punk. But its a bit early to tell.

Thats what im saying. No paperwork=No commitment. I don't even like the magic, but I'd hate to see them fall for the okey-dokey.

Yeah, I can see Dwight and his reps wanting to play chicken with the paperwork: stalling just long enough so the Magic can't get a deal done. Then Dwight doesn't submit the paperwork and leaves for the Nets in the summer, without the Nets having lost any assets.

Or he does get traded, but says, "I really wanted to stay. My heart is broken!"

The superstar culture in this league is really off putting lol. Majority of these guys are huge assholes who bitch and whine and want the easy way out.

Lawl, Dwight's not smart enough to think that far ahead.

I could definitely see this happening. He's playing hard ball.

From Woj:
Dwight Howard called a meeting of teammates in San Antonio today, told them he was "all in" for rest of season, source tells Y! Sports.

ALL IN. ROLL THE DICE. STAY DWIGHT DONT GO.

Would love for Dwight to stay another year but not getting my hopes up. Shit, would love it if he stayed forever.. but if the paperwork isn't done by tomorrow, we gotta trade him. I don't think non-Magic fans can ever truly get how devastating the Shaq thing was to our organization.

What made that situation even worse to 13 year old me was that the stupid Orlando Sentinel ran a poll on whether Shaq was worth $100 million and something like 90% of the idiot respondents said no (I absolutely called in and said yes). He peaced out a few days later. I will never forgive the Slantinel for that nonsense.

The difference between Dwight signing and getting traded is probably Marshon and a top 10 pick. If he's already made up his mind, this is probably the last gasp attempt at the Nets saving their assets.

Great news! You guys get to read about us analyzing the Dwight thing for a WHOLE OTHER YEAR. #killus #killusnow

love this tweet.

btw, would be hilarious i Dwight wrote in writing he's staying another year, then Otis flips him to like Indiana.

The Bobcats are discussing "several deals" for Boris Diaw, and the Pacers also had multiple scenarios on hold waiting for word on Dwight.

I'm surprised the Sentinel hasn't run a Stan Van Gundy or Dwight poll lately.

SVG would win by a landslide, just like Brian Hill did against Shaq.

Magic should ask him to opt in then trade try to trade him for the rest of the day. Every team in the NBA would suddenly be interested in 1 and a half years of Dwight.

for a network out of the game for 22 years, this partular insider is the best the league has.

Never a dull moment in the Stern Gang.

Look what this says about Dwight's teammates. Bitches. No one has stepped up to call this bully out.

Like what Van Gundy usually has to say in interviews though.

By the way, this came out of nowhere. Those close to Dwight Howard were STUNNED when he told them his decision this morning.

Also, does this mean Deron on the block for the next 36 hours? What do the nets do with him?

Great news for Brandi in getting Deron, though.

Welp, here it comes

One of those options is trying to acquire Boris Diaw’s expiring contract from Charlotte , adding him to a list of six guys who are up after this season. The Nets, sources said confirming a Charlotte Observer story, would surrender Houston’s lottery-protected first-rounder plus Jordan Farmar and Johan Petro. Charlotte wanted Anthony Morrow and was rebuffed. But that is just one of many possibilities.
