In #Knicks locker since it opened. I interviewed Iman (aired on @MSGNetworks ... Amar'e, Lin, Chandler, Fields all declined to speak.

uh oh

I can see what people mean though. Melo doesn't fit in Mikes system,it's why everything has been an inconsistent cluster fuck. Now in theory melo should do better,if not then trade him. I don't think lin will do that well now though because he was more of a system player.

Then why did they fucking trade for him? You coach the players you have! I just think it's ridiculous that the best player on the team is somehow the problem

Chandler, Lin, and even Amare have all been better than Melo.

In some ways, so have Novak, Shump, and Fields. At least they don't hurt the team.

Knicks gonna win big tonight with gusto.
They signed Gusto? Oh shit!

I really hope the Lakers go after Deron hard in the coming day.

Put Pau on dat block, mitcch!

Deron on the Lakers is a much better fit than CP3 would have been IMO. Deron does not need to dominate the ball and he's a lights-out shooter who can play-make just as well and finish at the rim better than CP3. I would lose my mind if that happened lol

Why would NJ do that? Why would the Lakers, who are 19-2 at home, do that? Salary?

The Lakers need depth, not a rehaul.

Maybe because Deron is a MUCH better player than Pau could ever dream of being? And he fills a huge need while a healthy Bynum makes Pau somewhat redundant

Cause if Dwight stays in ORL Deron is probably walking. Deron would upgrade immensely the Lakers' biggest weakness and add a reliable scorer and 3 point shooter, not to mention he could pull a few more points out of the existing bench guys. It's a no brainer for the lakers

Pau+filler and a pick for Deron all day.

Shhhhiiiiiiiiiiiii.....

I don't know what to expect, now that you've weighed in on the subject.

Head to head Deron owns Paul's soul, though Paul is the better player.

If you had to choose one, especially if they may go head to head in order to chip, you can make a case for Deron easily.

Wait, are you actually saying that the Lakers shouldn't be trying to get rid of Pau, if it means getting Deron? Wow.

They would be fix a major issue while losing a major advantage. And they've won a few chips with that issue. All they need is a PG that won't give up career nights on the regular and they would be fine.

Im pretty sure Boozer would be the only one they would offer. LOL if you think they are taking that.
The Bulls would be dumb to trade Boozer, unless it meant a returning PF.

Korver/Asik/Watson for Ray works. Watson is a team option next year, and Korver is an OK replacement for Ray, to a certain extent. They also get their big man of the future.

Someone fucking prove this shit to me. Deron constantly decimates him 1 on 1 and it's not skewed cos they play the same position and guard each other. Besides less turnovers, what does CP3 really do arguably or statistically better than Deron when team circumstances are taken into account (For example, Deron having to score more this year while CP3 can focus on PG play)?

Deron is unarguably the better long-range shooter and finisher at the rim while CP3 turns it over less. Everything else is about the same IMO but I like Deron's size as a more versatile defender

With Deron Williams, they would be set for years. Deron/Kobe/Bynum would win the West.

If Deron is even on the block, why wouldn't we ask for Bynum straight up? He's the better big to rebuild around.

I doubt Nets would deal with LAL. Nets have an above average big in Lopez and a decent PF in Humphries. LA's only assets are a center and a PF. IF Jersey splits with their PG they'll want a a guard or SF in return.

They could get a 3rd team involved to take Pau give them a guard and send Deron to LA. I have no idea who would be up for that that would hav emore to offer than Boozer.

CP3 is the better player, but Deron is less of a health risk. So I'd choose Deron at this point.

He's on his rookie deal, is a defensive player, and is legit 7 feet. He's on his rookie contract who can be resigned cheaply as a RFA. They want a big man, and Ray is an expiring contract. Tell me, what other young big man could they get (who is available) for that?

But Celtics are dumb. They want the moon for their over the hill former superstars. They're fucked unless one of those guys demands a trade, which they won't.

CP3 is alot more creative, better off the dribble and has shown to be more clutch. He also seems to be a much better leader and a better floor general. Defense is a bit better too. Shooting is about even to me also.

No, not about who's the better player or fit... I'd go with Deron 9 out of 10 times too.

Just wasn't sure if he just jinxed it or not. I was optimistic we could pull off a trade for him, now I don't know if I should even be that.

I'd agree with everything except the bolded. Paul lost a step after his surgery and with his small size has trouble bulling his way to the hoop like he used to, something Deron still is capable of.

Chris Paul's defense is also totally shitty, which is one of the reasons The Clips are having problems and with his lack of size he gets pushed around a lot. May be how he justifies his flopping.

No way the Nets move Deron until Dwight's situation is finalized.
Which is why this is so stupid. They only have so few hours. If Dwight is staying in ORL for one more year, then Deron is gone, and the Nets have to trade him. To move to Brooklyn with that team, minus Deron, would be terrible.

Lol, i think people are chorteling at the phrase, big man of the future.

He's a young big, but not the sort of guy you build around.

Yeah. I don't see a point for Dwight going to Brooklyn if Deron ends up leaving after this year. It'd be stoopid.
