I can't tell if it's the right or just the angle.

Red smoke and fire to the right... the red Renegade ending is to the right.

Not having ever played, nor will I ever likely play, can someone give me a run down on what happens in DA2 that makes it so reviled?

Some combination of the development team having a pretty shaky grasp of what people wanted out of the game, and the fact that it was given about 50% of the development time that it needed to be a complete game. How large each of those factors was in relation to the other is a matter of debate, but it basically comes down to those two.

In particular, at the end of the game, they let you choose between joining up with the Blue Team and the Red Team, and no matter which team you join, the leader ends up going insane and turning into the exact same boss fight that you would get if you had joined the other team, in exactly the same order, even though it didn't make any goddamn sense at all.

The Turian Councillor who takes over if you killed them in ME1 is actually a non douchebag. It's a shame all the councilors were dickheads if you save them.

But they all end up supporting you in the end. Curious how it plays out without them.

Jessican Merizan is a member of their PR team.

I do believe that she is saying nothing. She just wants to wait before publicly talking about the end of ME3. It's only been 8 days for crying out loud. She is there to foster interest in the franchise and discuss stuff with the fans.

She is not part of the dev team nor does she had anything to do with the writing team. She is effectively a paid fan.

Seriously, stop it, you are just hurting yourself now.

I only played the first little bit of my Renegade, but the Turian is pretty much in full support of you before you meet with him in the embassies. The Salarian councillor is a woman and a total fucking bitch.

Dude, stop the killjoy.

BELIEVE!

Therefore: Aliens!

Y'know the whole tech singularity could've worked if they'd set it up better. Back before ME1 released, all they constantly went on about was how the theme of the game was organic vs. synthetic life. And there is a ton of that being set up in ME1 with Sovereign and the geth, the rogue VI, that AI on the Citadel, etc. Then ME2 made most of the geth friendly, and changed the Shadow Broker from an AI as originally conceived to a space monster (don't have a source on this one, was another tidbit from an ex-writer I think), and it really didn't do enough to drive in that theme through the rest of the series.

The original salarian councillor is still Quark right? That's who I had in my version.

reason 1 why witcher 2 is better than mass effect 3:

I think Witcher 2 is better than any of the BioWare Mass Effect or Dragon Age games. It's truly a masterpiece. I've said before in other places if BioWare would co-develop a Dragon Age game with CD Projekt, or at least co-write it and let CD Projeckt make it, we'd have one of the best RPGs in decades. The way the Witcher handles short-term consequences combined with the way BioWare does consequences for the long term would be really interesting to see.

Nipples are rendered better in ME3, therefore it's better.

I really wish we got to visit Thessia prior to the destruction, you have some nice screenshots lastplayed:

It would be nice if we got to visit other cities than the citadel. Like, to, you know, walk around and shit. Like in KOTOR.

I would love for indoctrination to be true, but that's just straight up lazy texturing. I didn't even notice those bodies lying there the first time I played the ending, and I'd bet the same applies to most people.

EDIT: The bodies lying next to the beam. The ones inside the Citadel are impossible to miss.

this is a series where you met a turian with black and white facepaint and then thirty minutes later met a turian with the exact same facepaint and voice actor

guys

come the fuck on

ALL THREE OF THOSE PEOPLE ARE CYBORGS

SHEPARD HAS ROBOT EYES IN ME2
Dude, Shepard's eyes don't look like that before. Look at the other screenshot.
